Hotel The Designers Kondae - Gunja

This is a hotel I use often since it’s in front of my house. First, the female staff is so friendly 🤩 The hotel is easy to find because of its great location… there are lots of movie theaters, a supermarket, hospitals, cafes, and great restaurants nearby~ Breakfast is available to all staying guests (small but tasty… the instant ramen you cook yourself is the best) Hotel atmosphere, themed rooms, room cleanliness, bedding hygiene… all perfect!!! Five-star praise ☆☆☆☆☆ Stayed one night on the 8th–9th and already booked again for the 10th ^^ I want to live at Designers~~~

Really wouldn’t recommend this place - it’s not clean at all, rooms are stuffy and dark. The whole place is not well maintained and we didn’t enjoy our time here. Sadly!

I am not even kidding with the title of this review. the hotel looks beautiful in Agoda photos and in reality, it was total opposite. I booked a suite because I saw the photo was bright and spacious. when I checked in to the room, it was a dark and old room with bed and sofas end to end of each other. the door of the bathroom was also broken. the entire hotel was dark from it's lobby and even at the corridors of the room. I did not feel safe at all being a solo traveller. lock of the rooms were traditional loose keys and I was very scared. I checked in the room and immediately felt I needed to book another hotel right away, and I did. when I asked the staff for help to move my things to my taxi (as there were no lobby), the staff just wheeled my luggages and left. even taxi driver was stunned for words. warning for all especially if you are looking for service

The location was convenient and easy to access, and the staff's friendly attitude made for a pleasant experience. However, the cleanliness and facilities of the accommodation fell short of expectations and were somewhat disappointing. Most of all, the musty smell was difficult to tolerate.

I stayed here on a business trip and the room I was assigned was spacious and cozy. Even with the window open it wasn’t too noisy, and it was quiet when closed. Amenities are a bit pared down these days, so bring your own toothbrush, but there are small bottles of shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. A hairdryer is of course provided. Be careful with the bathroom door — it closes a bit forcefully — and the sink drain was a little slow, which was mildly inconvenient. Breakfast is included, but note that there is no breakfast on Thursdays. Overall I was satisfied; good value and conveniently close to the station.

The price, location, and breakfast were all good, but the plumbing noise and air conditioner noise in the room were legendary.. My husband, who usually sleeps through anything, was woken up because it was so noisy.. They helped us check in early and even upgraded our room, for which we were very thankful and pleased, but the air conditioner noise was a real drawback. ㅠ..

As a solo traveler. This room size is perfect for me! Not too big or small. The location near Gunja station and bus stop, easy to go around. Only take 20mins to Seongsu or Gangnam area. Definitely recommend it 🩷

Stayed Friday to Sunday. Weekend hotel prices in Seoul are so high, but even though I booked last minute I was really satisfied. Seoul is expensive, but the breakfast — simple but complimentary — made me happy. The furniture inside was clean, there was no smell of smoke, which was great. Amenities were a bit limited so you have to buy some things yourself, and the drainage was a little poor, but overall it was livable. It's about a five-minute walk from Gunja Station, so the location is very convenient. I had a great stay.
