Hotel Tropicana Pattaya

Close to Soi 6 and outdoor food market. Rooms large and grounds are spacious. Pool is nice size but a bit murky.

Great location - staff were great, there when you needed them, left you alone when you didnt. Room was just ok, no safe bathroom was poor, separate shower and bath in photos and we got a shower over bath that shot at the opposite wall and flooded the floor every shower. Pool was cloudy, didnt swim in it or see anyone se swim in it. I would like to give it more but think it was a solid three star.

Only a few small things wrong with this hotel. Getting a bit old and needs maintenance. Toilet wouldn’t flush. Air conditioner didn’t work properly but once these things were sorted things were okay. A decent chair in the room for reading and a bench in bathroom to hold your washing products would make room so much more user friendly

I wish I could recommend this hotel. The three great things are the location if you want to be near Soi 6, the helpful staff and high speed internet (over 600Mbps down and 450Mbps up). Aside from that, unless you book the Premier rooms which are the “renovated” ones in 2018, you’ll be put into the older ones they call “Superior”. Because I didn’t want to walk up stairs (though the web says there are elevators which is not true), they gave me the last room farrest from the lobby where the door didn’t shut properly, the phone and internet didn’t work, one electrical outlet and the view was the back wall. After they changed me to one on the third floor, it was relatively better but still old. The shower sprayer couldn’t be adjusted and no remote for the A/C. Next time I’d spend a little bit more for other hotels in the area. None of the rooms allow you to exit onto the driveway, so you have to walk all the way to the lobby close to the middle of the property and then you can access the driveway to either Beach Road or 2nd Road. I hope someone buys this property and renovates it with its terrific location. Lots of potential. I’d go back if it were under $25/night but I paid $**/night after taxes.

Good location, friendly stuff

The hotel enjoys an excellent location for getting around. Songthaew pick-up is right outside, and the beach is easily accessible. Service is average. The front desk staff were rather careless and messed up my registration document; I ended up signing twice. On the bright side, the housekeeping guy who came in the morning did a thorough job and restocked amenities daily as needed. Facilities: The swimming pool is nice and quiet with few guests, great for daily relaxation. The bed is the smallest and most basic one I have ever stayed in. There isn’t even a headboard. The gym, however, is tiny with very limited equipment. The photos shown online show exactly what it looks like, so do not expect anything bigger or better. It’s worth noting that the last two nights of my stay were really terrible due to excessive noise. Room 0335 next door was occupied by a large group of guests. They were extremely noisy at night and behaved rudely, banging on doors loudly so the noise echoed through the whole corridor. People kept coming in and out all night long.
