I stayed here for an early-morning kimono dressing. The early-morning dressing and the subsequent photo session both went smoothly, and I was able to take part in the demonstration. After the large tournament, I took my time getting changed and by then the hotel lunch service had already finished, so I think I should have made a reservation or made some other preparation for lunch.
Liked: Very good location, it’s easy to reach famous temples. The staff there was very kind and warned people. There are many different choices of breakfast. I personally love the Japanese style set for breakfast. It is an unforgettable memory for me to stay in Hyatt Kyoto.

Liked: Beautiful hotel - warm, inviting and relaxing. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Lots of breakfast options in a lovely dining room overlooking a small garden. Easy walking to metro station, some shopping and restaurants. The Geisha performance with welcome drinks was a nice treat.
Disliked: A bit on the pricey side for Japan but we appreciated the tranquility in a fairly busy city. Also a bit remote.
Liked: The staff including Thea at the breakfast restaurant and Momoko at the Italian restaurant were attentive, sweet & amazing. Everyone was so kind and respectful. The Italian restaurant was excellent! We ate there almost daily. Overall the location was great, food was great & service by everyone was outstanding. The taxi ride to their hotel was a plus. The Maiko show was also another highlight to the trip.
Disliked: The room they placed us in felt small and was located at the bottom floor. The vents at the restaurant were dirty. I kept sneezing realizing that I was placed under a vent.
Liked: Very clean and had everything we needed. Good breakfast.
