“Bilk yang besar. Katil king yang selesa serta bantai yang selesa. Bilik akan di cuci setiap hari. Ada di sediakan mineral water dan tea lipton.”
Bilik cantik dengan view bandar hilir. Tetapi aircond kurang sejuk serta perlu on agak lama untuk dapatkan suhu minimun yabg diperlukan.

“Can be improved”
Hotel is old. However the room was ok. Room needs to be cleaned thoroughly. I was bitten by insects. Something on the bed. I have itchy red spots on my back! Hotel is situated within walking distances to the malls nearby and the tourist attractions. However there's no traffic light for us to cross over. In house restaurants, hotel lobby and lifts needs to be renovated. Way too old and tired looking.

“Clean stay in a great spot”
A clean, comfortable property in a convenient location, with easy transport access and good value for money. The facilities were well maintained, and the bathroom had reliable hot water. The view was a pleasant touch, while breakfast added to the overall convenience. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, making this an easy place to recommend.

“3 star hotel that offers breakfast and a gym”
I stayed in a room with a King Sized bed. I already paid Agoda $59.31 but was told that I had to pay another RM 10 for Tourism Tax and RM 4 for Heritage Tax. So the Room Cost was RM 14 more per night. The Hotel lobby and lifts were 3 starish. I stayed on the 7th floor. As I came out from the lift, I was surprised to see a corridor that looked like that of a Singapore HDB 2 room rental block. Well the hotel had only one block, so the front was, yes, the HDB style corridor and then it's the rooms. Inside the room, the back was a ceiling to floor window which let you look out at the end of Dataran Pahlawan. To the left was Hatten Square, a failed retail and hence pretty deserted place, and to the right was Equatorial Hotel which ceased business in 2019. Not sure if times were hard for the hotel but there were signs of cost cutting measures being taken. For one, the shower area didn't have a curtain. Toothbrush and toothpaste were only given upon request. There were only 2 small bottles of hair and body shampoo, toilet paper, bath towel and floor mat - that's all. Still the shower worked well, water temperature was hot to cold as desired. The bed was comfortable and bedsheet/comforter clean. Room was made up neat and tidy. Good job by Housekeeping... Two sticks of Nescafe and two sachets of Lipton's tea were offered, complimentarily. There's a mini fridge, safe, ironing board and electric iron. These being offered made the hotel a little better than 4 star. I decided to check the gym out. It's a small room on the 3rd floor with a treadmill, an elliptical, a weight pullup, and some dumb bells. All had seen better days. There was nobody but me. I did some weight lifting with the dumb bells and the weight pullup. The rest didn't seem safe to use. The elliptical was wobbling! The breakfast was medicare. At the al fresco area were about four or five local dishes including the ubiquitous nasi lemak. The coffee was local which was way too diluted. Inside at the aircon area was a small selection of fried rice, chicken nuggets, chicken sausage, spaghetti with a Bolognese sauce, porridge, pau, and two kinds of fruits, viz. honeydew and pineapple. From the look of it, the guests were all Asians and probably domestic (Malaysians from other cities or states). Depending on what you are looking for, and from where you come, I would or would not recommend this hotel. Its biggest selling point is its location within a stone's throw of Dataran Pahlawan while Makhota Parade is well within walking distance. A 15 minute walk brings you to the Stadthuys and Jonker Street.
