“Wonderful stay as always”
Super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and very well maintained. You really get what you pay for here. Breakfast at the Imperial Viking is really good too!

“Moved! Thanks to the staff, I've gone from the lowest to the highest journey.”
The reservation details differed from what the hotel had on record. It seemed to be an issue with the booking website rather than any fault of the hotel, but the hotel provided many thoughtful accommodations and I had an extremely satisfying stay. I’ve become a fan of this hotel. I was moved. Thank you very much.

“I really want to stay only here when I go to Tokyo.”
Hibiya station area is truly the best. Three subway lines run through it, so you can get to any sightseeing spot without stress, and Shimbashi Station is within walking distance. You can step out anytime for a walk or run around the Imperial Palace, and Tokyo Station is walkable (though it’s tiring, so I don’t recommend it). Ginza, Shimbashi within walking distance + great station access ✅ As soon as we checked in, a staff member took our luggage and then gave a room tour once we arrived ✅ Free Fuji water in the room ✅ Fuji water is also available in the gym (guests can use the gym without extra fee and take water out after working out) ✅ Nespresso machine and capsules as a welcome drink ✅ The slippers in the room are super cushiony — I wanted to buy them and take them home ✅ The staff are extremely kind and attentive ✅ Just seeing the flowers in the hotel lobby lifts your mood (when I was taking photos a staff member thoughtfully offered to take one for me) ✅ Comfortable bed, and when you lie down you can see the city beyond the Imperial Palace ✅ The New York Times is available in the morning. Buying bread, salad and coffee at nearby Hibiya Midtown’s Dean & DeLuca and eating while looking out the window is very relaxing ✅ There’s always a taxi queue in front of the hotel, so it’s never a hassle to get a cab (but note there’s an extra 500 yen charge on top of the base fare. Other hotels in Shimbashi will ask a staff member to hail a cab from a nearby street and send it to the hotel without that 500 yen surcharge) ✅ Staff stand by the elevators and will call one for you when you’re going between the lobby and your room ✅ Just being in the hotel makes you feel happy ❎ When asking a taxi from Tokyo Station to go to the Imperial Hotel, some drivers didn’t understand “Imperial Hotel” ㅠ ❎ The Main Building has great views and excellent access from the lobby to the rooms. But the Tower Building requires transferring from the Main Building, which can be a bit annoying sometimes. ❎ The view is slightly disappointing. If you look down close to the window, you see the roof of Imperial Avenue (?) ❎ As you can see in the photos, rooms on the corner can look directly into the room across from them based on the window corner ❎ After shopping at Don Quijote, it felt like we were the only ones walking around with plastic shopping bags haha Overall there are many Westerners and Japanese guests, so if you’re in the mood you can strike up small talk while waiting for the elevator or inside it. The staff are so kind, and the hotel buffet “Imperial Viking” is famous — if you stay here it’s worth trying at least once for a cultural experience! (I personally found the seasoning a bit strong overall.) When I go to Tokyo I want to stay only at this hotel. I’ve stayed at places famous for Tokyo Tower views, for atmosphere, and for airport convenience — this is the best. Once you experience the exceptional hospitality and top-room condition, you won’t forget it and you’ll book flights to Tokyo just to stay here… like I do now… 💗

“When you're in trouble, there is always someone there.”
Before my stay I called with questions, and whenever I couldn’t figure out the rules during my stay someone was always there to help. The facilities aren’t exactly state-of-the-art, but they’re more than adequate by the standard of a comfortable space. All the staff provided excellent service. I’d like to use it again for a special occasion.
