Jin Jiang Star Hotel

If you have a car do not book here, outside parking is not safe and very limited. My car was blocked because someone double park, they were not able to find the driver. Most of the quest are foreighners. It did not feel like a hotel more like a Frat-house. This is a budget hotel with an emphasis on budget. I felt more safe renting a room in ***. The staff are trying to make the experience better but the facilities are not there, slow check-in process. Even if I came an hour after my check-in time. Keycard not recognize by elevator, TV remote no battery.

Our experience was very disappointing. We got headaches from the smoke from cigarettes. The building has no smoking area station. You can smoke anywhere inside the building. This is not for everyone especially with family. Good thing i am with my colleague. We are scared that we might get lung cancer after inhaling too much inside our room.

Good, clean, and very accommodating

Great

We definitely did not like that smoking was so normal in the lobby, as well as in the hallways and rooms. The scent was not comfortable at all. We also got the room with a bathroom that has no glass panel (for the shower). Good location, though.

Being new to Manila, it came as surpise to discover the hotel is based in the slums area of the city. The building looks ok at the lobby, but upstairs, the fabric of the building is realling showing its age. Corridor walls have deep scars in them and the apprearance of mould. The cockroach walking down the corridor was what convinced me to cut short my visit and go elsewhere. If price is more important than looks and location doesn't bother you. Then come and stay here. Otherwise give this place a miss.

Very clean room

GOOD: 1. Staff are friendly and accommodating. 2. Location is accessible. 3. Toiletries, coffee and electric kettle available. BAD: 1. Horrible cigarette smoke. I requested for a non-smoking room (since it is an option) three weeks before, but apparently ALL rooms are SMOKING. All of our clothes smelled like cigarettes the next day. You will also wake up coughing since it is suffocating. 2. There is a Php 2,000 deposit (refundable) that should have been mentioned prior. 3. No windows, which would have slightly helped in the suffocating smel.
