“Had to change to another hotel because of their fault”
Not sure if this happened to anyone else, but my experience was quite disappointing. I went to check in as usual and contacted the staff to get the password for the self-check-in, only to find out that there was no key because the key card was broken. Even the staff seemed surprised when I called. I feel like this should have been informed to us at least a day before check-in. Instead, we were asked to stay at another hotel under the same management, which was about a 10-minute walk from the hotel we originally booked.

“NOT WORTH AS COMPARED TO OTHER HOTELS”
I have been to Melaka many times before. Stayed in different hotels. But this one I didn’t like because this is not actually hotel. House has been converted to hotel. Common washroom. No individual washrooms here. No early check-in privilege or no counter to keep your luggage. I have given 3 stars because this is preferable for solo travellers who usually stay in hostels. Not for family or person who expect separate room and washroom

“Good location, but disappointing stay. Dirty and poorly maintained.”
An auntie runs a handmade shop within the same premises and keeps a dog and two rabbits there. The shared bathroom had a very strong smell of dog urine, and the rabbit cages were placed beside the bathroom. Even inside my room, I could hear the auntie talking to her dog. Guests are supposed to remove their shoes before entering, but I saw some guests wearing outdoor shoes inside the premises. The entrance also had problems at night, and for continuously three nights, the host contacted me at around 11pm++ to help open the door for other guests when I was about to sleep. The host apologised sincerely, which I appreciate, but the hygiene and management need improvement.

“Affordable & near city centre.”
Location is near for those who want to explore jonker street. Walkable distance to Mahkota parade & Dataran Pahlawan for those who enjoy walking. Suitable for solo & couple. Bathroom is separated & only got 2 shower, 1 bathroom on the first floor. Gotta get up on stairs to the room. Better bring your own toiletries, because owner only gave u shampoo & shower cream in the shower. Towel is provided. Better request for extra blanket because the blanket is small (one person use). Owner is really good, will text you on how to self check in & check out. Trusted. Overall, very good space for a day stay 👍
