JungleNest Resort

This is the first place that was 300% more satisfying than the photos. It was perfect. This was my second trip to Siargao following last year, and I stayed in a total of three accommodations. I now have my go-to places for Siargao: Amutta and Jungle Nest. There was a brand launching DJ party at Jungle Nest, and I’m so disappointed I couldn’t attend due to scheduling conflicts. All the staff were friendly and diligent, and everywhere was well-maintained. A massage shop was being set up as an on-site facility, and there was a jacuzzi and an ice bath being constructed as well. During a promotional event, I was able to get a massage at a great price. The meal at the restaurant also met my expectations, and the barbecue held every Sunday had excellent food quality, while the live performance lasting about two hours felt like a dinner show, it was mesmerizing. The only downside was that the airport transfer service was quite expensive. As of 2026, it cost 300 pesos per person from the airport to the accommodation, but when I requested the reception to call the airport transfer for my trip to the airport, they charged 500 pesos per person. Still, the other services were excellent, so I considered it a tip and paid. I had a great time~~

The place us very nice & clean..although some furnitures & fixtures are old na,but its clean naman..the staff are very helpful & accomodating..

We had a great time spending here at JungleNest. Staff are very accommodating especially Khalid who assisted us. We also served by Wilma and Rica of resort restaurant. They are very good staff.

The facilities were quite good. However, service and staff was quite disaapointing, and detracted significantly from the experience.,

Une honte, tout simplement. Hôtel vétuste, chambres non fonctionnelles, crottes de rats dans les chambres... un cauchemar, dont les propriétaires sont déjà au courant mais ne font rien. Nous y avons passé 10j durant lesquels nous avons fait les frais de tous les dysfonctionnements et manques de sérieux de cet hôtel. Nous avons dû aller dans 3 chambres différentes et aucun d'entre elle n'avait de réfrigérateur, que nous avons dû demander pour obtenir, ni de télévision fonctionnelle. À notre arrivée, la climatisation de notre chambre ne fonctionnait pas et il y avait des odeurs nauséabondes. Malgré notre plainte, le propriétaire a refusé de nous changer de chambre et nous a seulement ajouté un ventilateur (inutile). En plus de cela il s'est permis d'ironiser la situation en disant que ma femme et moi aurions un séjour "very hot", ce qui est complètement déplacé. Le lendemain nous avons dû faire un scandale pour être mis dans une autre chambre. Il s'est avéré que celle-ci également avait des problèmes de climatisation, mais en plus c'était seulement 2 lits simples alors que nous avions bien demandé un lit double. C'est seulement à la 3e chambre qu'ils nous ont donnée que la climatisation fonctionnait (enfin). Mais malheureusement ça ne s'est pas arrêté là. Le jet d'eau de la chambre avait une odeur d'œuf pourri qui se répandait dans la chambre. Ensuite, la nuit nous avons entendu des bruits d'animaux dans la chambre. Au réveil, nous avons constaté que c'était des rats étant donné les crottes un peu partout dans la chambre, DONT SUR NOS AFFAIRES! (Je précise que c'était bien des crottes de RATS et non de lézard comme a essayé de nous faire croire le propriétaire, voir photos!) Et la cerise sur le gâteau, après tous ces désagréments pour lesquels nous n'avons reçu aucun geste commercial je précise. Au moment de notre départ, on nous a facturé une bouteille en verre qui s'est cassée dans notre chambre, alors qu'elle était fendue quand il nous l'ont donnée!! Le traitement des clients ici au Junglenest Resort est inadmissible, l'entretien de l'endroit est misérable et la gestion du personnel est catastrophique (plusieurs fois j'ai vu le propriétaire, européen, parler de manière irrespectueuse et menaçante à ses employés). Cet hôtel n'a rien d'un 4 étoiles et ne mérite pas le prix délirant auxquels il facture ses nuits et ses repas.

Our expectations were quite high because of the great reviews from previous guests. Overall, our stay was okay, but we did encounter several issues during our visit. The staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived, and we appreciated the complimentary welcome drink. They were also very accommodating and tried their best to assist us with our requests, including laundry and airport transfers. However, we initially weren't provided with wi-fi. We were told that it was temporarily unavailable, and the mobile data signal inside the room was really bad. When I asked a different staff later, we found out that there was wi-fi available, but the connection was quite slow. It may also depend on which area of the property you're staying in. We also experienced several issues with the air conditioning and frequent power interruptions during our stay. Although the property has a generator, the electricity would still shut off and come back on unexpectedly, which was quite inconvenient. On the positive side, the room was spacious, and I really liked the bathroom. However, there was a noticeable old wooden smell upstairs in the bedroom, which made us less comfortable spending time there. Overall, the staff were kind and genuinely tried to accommodate us, which we really appreciated. However, considering the issues we experienced during our stay, we're not sure if we would book here again. Great location tho.

The room was okay and affordable overall, but there was an unpleasant smell, especially coming from the bathroom. The bathroom could also use some renovation and updating to improve the overall experience. With some maintenance and improvements, the room could be much better.
