“Amazing!”
We had an excellent stay at the resort - they were able to accommodate us for early check-in, the front desk officers are very friendly and knowledgeable, the room is so big and more than comfortable for 4 adults, they provide free drinking water and you can borrow their tumblers, swim towels and woven bag (for your day outside the hotel). I love their sustainability efforts:) they have generator as power backup and internet connection is fast and stable. Also, they don’t have 24x7 Front Desk but they their Security Team to talk to in case you have any concerns beyond their Front Desk hours. Kudos to the Kalipay Team for the perfect resort!

“Kalipay Stay Tuesday 6th/7th October”
This is our second stay at Kalipay and what a wonderful place it is. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Kim who checked us in was a star. The rooms are probably the best on the Island and certainly good value. They have added another swimming pool since our last visit and they are both pristine clean. The whole resort is well maintained and looked after. We will be back. A big thank you to all the staff

“A hidden gem”
Still very much a hidden gem, given the high quality and attention to detail throughout the resort. From the service and amenities to the location and rooms, every aspect of the resort is thoughtfully designed and reflects a consistent philosophy shaped by its British owner. Even as someone from Japan, the rooms and facilities are exceptionally clean, while local materials and craftsmanship are thoughtfully incorporated throughout, and the amenities reflect a genuine commitment to sustainability. What we loved: * A thorough in-room explanation at check-in. * The view from our second-floor room. The resort entrance across the way makes the view even more charming. * A fresh coconut welcome drink—so much that I couldn’t finish it in a day! * Free bike rental available 24/7. * Clean shower room—it’s been a while since I found a hotel with a shower clean enough to willingly use barefoot. * Natural materials and local craftsmanship throughout—wooden toothbrush, hand-woven water dispenser cover, to name a few. * A little removed from the hustle and bustle of General Luna, making it easy to relax at night. * The cloth bag used to return our laundry. * Two-tiered laundry lines. Things to keep in mind: * No restaurant or café on-site, but there are several within walking distance. * General Luna is a bit far to walk to. For reference, it’s about a 5-minute tricycle ride, costing around ₱30 during the day and ₱50 at night. * The mattress is on the firm side, but they can replace it with a softer one upon request. * Not beachfront, yet we could still see the ocean from our room over the resort grounds. * The shower pressure is a little weak, although the water gets hot enough. It is clear that the resort was designed not to impress with flashy looks or opulence, but to give guests a sense of comfort and tranquility the moment they step inside. One thing that should not be overlooked is that every member of the staff we encountered was friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful. Even the British owner, whom we happened to meet at the resort pool, went out of his way to help with even the smallest questions we had. One of the staff members told me that they are always thinking of ways to make sure their guests have a great time. To me, this is a reflection of the fact that everyone shares the resort’s philosophy—that making guests happy is itself a source of happiness for the staff. You can’t simply create this kind of genuine hospitality by investing more in facilities and staff or by telling the staff what to do. It comes from genuinely sharing the same values. Thank you for creating this beautiful space and the special moments we were able to experience here.

“Our Favorite Hotel In Siargao!”
We loved Kalipay so much that we came back twice during our time in Siargao. We stayed at 7 different places around the island, and Kalipay was easily our favorite. The rooms are spacious, beautifully maintained, and incredibly clean. The attention to detail is amazing, and they truly have thought of everything. The room includes all the essentials you could possibly need, so you never find yourself wishing they had something you forgot or needed. The shower is also perfect, which sounds like a small thing, but after traveling around, we really appreciated it. But what really makes Kalipay special is the staff. They are absolutely incredible. So kind, accommodating, and flexible. They genuinely make you feel like family. They even surprised me by decorating our room for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful and special touch. From the beautiful rooms to the incredible hospitality, every detail made our stay feel special. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, and when we come back to Siargao, Kalipay will be our first choice!

“Nice garden view swimming pool. Room was excellent and arranged thoughtfully.”
Liked: They upgraded our room to Superior King. Very nice room with excellent garden view and access to the pool right beside the room. We were greeted with complimentary cold fresh coconut drink with Kalipay Resort name etched on it. The room was clean, elegant and very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean with plenty of space. Nice sumptuous complimentary breakfast with nearby partner restaurants. The best part for me is the way they provided free use of basic items such as umbrella, thermal water bottles, bayong (large traditional woven bags). Simple but very thoughtful. There is a nice garden by the pool. Excellent view for night swim.
Disliked: There are few insects and mosquitoes during the night. A little pest management control can help. It didn't really bother us tbh.

“SUPERB EXPERIENCE!”

“Great location, good size suites, excellent staff.”
Liked: Location was great. Short tuk tuk ride to Cloud 9 and restaurants. Staff was even better. The A/C did not work in one of the two suites we booked. The staff replaced with two single rooms which was great. We also booked an island tour, land tour, massages, and airport transfers through the hotel which was reasonably priced and very easy to book.
Disliked: Everything was great.

“We had the most wonderful stay in this beautiful and very private hotel. The location is ideal for us because it is away”
Liked: The property itself is beautiful. Structurally speaking, it is modern looking. Our room ( de luxe) is spacious yet gives a very cozy feeling. The courtyard is very well maintained and has many exotic looking plants. We actually became friends with the in-house gardener Jonel who excitedly shared his knowledge of the plants growing in the property and the landscape.
Disliked: There’s nothing to dislike about the property.
