“Lovely stay in a spacious and clean apartment in a beautiful surrounding.”
Liked: This review is for the "Apartment (5 Adults)" with 1 living room and 2 bedrooms. It's a great apartment! Clean, spacious, comfortable, with authentic feel like you're living in a cave, but with all the modern comforts and amenities. The layout of the apartment is: a). a living room with a convertible sofa bed (US Queen/King size) separated from a kitchen by an island counter with three bar stools, b). a logical sleeping area with US Queen-size bed to the side of the living room with two steps down separated from the living room by a curtain, a mini-fence, a chair; c). a stand-alone bedroom with locking door with a US Full/Twin size bed; a bathroom with two showers in it. There is only a tiny corner of the original "fairy chimney" in the apartment. The rest is built in modern times with the same tuff rock. (From a local taxi driver, that whole area used to be empty but is now overcrowded with "authentic" apartment and hotels.) Yet, the apartment does feel very authentic, and is very clean, has high enough ceilings not to be oppressive. There is no dampness as somebody had reported, but the stand-alone bedroom feels a bit dusty. WiFi is stable and fast! Location is on the hill in Goreme, all of the town (village?) is within a walking distance, 5-8 min away.
Disliked: Breakfast is "meh": very continental (see the pictures); it was brought to our apartment every morning on wrapped plates. Tea and instant coffee was in the kitchen. The apartment was on the ground floor. The second floor is a "terrace" with a couple of tables. The third floor is a restaurant, but we were told it's not a terrace to enjoy. The point is, the second floor terrace is nice to sit in the sun, but it's completely useless to watch the hot air balloons in the morning (see the pictures in this review with the terrace area circled in red). There is no parking. The streets are one way and narrow. The area in front of the apartment is the width of two lanes, but it can accommodate a maximum of one van or two small cars, and unless you're coming when the town is empty, forget about the parking. Despite all that, we did enjoy our stay there and the apartment is quite lovely!

“Above average”
Liked: The location and staff were excellent
Disliked: The accommodation is standard. There is no air-conditioning in bedroom and we had to sleep on a sofa bed in the room with the air con to tolerate the heat.
