King Town Hotel

Not sure if it’s because so few people were staying, but the hallway lighting throughout was very dim. I stayed on a rainy night, and the sound of raindrops hitting the eaves outside the window was extremely loud, which seriously affected my sleep quality. The inn may be quite old, and some of the facilities are a bit dated. Also, the front desk counter is unusually high. If the staff are seated while working, when you pass by the desk you might think there’s no one there. But when they suddenly stand up and speak to you, it can be startling.

Liked: 有24小時櫃台

Recommended for those going on a trip to Yilan, Luodong Township. Access to Luodong Station is convenient, and Luodong Night Market is nearby. 7-11, PX Mart, and Index are close by.

For budget-conscious travelers. I chose this place because it was an inexpensive accommodation with parking. The location and price are very good. However, I wouldn't recommend it if you expect hospitality or functionality. It's by no means a bad place, but it is what you'd expect for the price.

For my recent round-the-island challenge in Taiwan, I chose the very important arts center, Yilan Traditional Arts Center, while in Yilan County. For strategic reasons I needed to take the train to Luodong Station the night before. King Town Hotel is very close to Luodong Station and also close to Luodong Night Market. Although it’s a bit old and—because Taiwan’s been having heavy rain lately—there was a slight musty smell, the staff were very friendly. There is an elevator to the upper floors.

Liked: 還算乾淨

Disliked: 有時會聞到煙味

Liked: 他的位置就在火車站前方沒多遠？，走路就可以去夜市真的很棒。

Disliked: 可以的話再加強水壓

I requested to be near the elevator and got the specific room I requested. The room is clean, and I like the attitude of the male staff; he helped me a lot during my stay. I didn’t ask for his name, but he speaks English while helping me. Thank you, I’ll probably come here again at another time.
