La Dimora di Francesco

Liked: We stayed for one night, to visit Assissi. It’s a lovely building outside the town, low down and the view of the San Francesco church from our room was stunning. Plenty of car parking in grounds. Comfortable room with a small bathroom - excellent aircon. Very friendly and welcoming host who lives under the guest house. Excellent home-made cakes for breakfast. 5 minute drive to Assissi where there is lots of parking.

Disliked: Minor points only. We loved it. Shower a bit small. Although cakes/pastries for breakfast were excellent, could have done with a bit more savoury stuff.

Liked: For Dimora di Francesco, I would give an overall rating between 7 and 8. The property has potential, but there are some aspects that could be improved. The lady who welcomes guests does not seem very open to feedback or criticism. During our stay, in the middle of summer, the air conditioning was not working properly and the electricity frequently went out. One evening, around 11:30 PM, we reset the electrical panel to at least have light in the room, but the following morning, during breakfast, we were reproached for this. Breakfast was rather simple and limited. Additionally, it was not possible to prepare hot drinks such as coffee (with pods) or cappuccino. Overall, the experience was decent, but there were some inconveniences that affected our stay.

Liked: The view was so calm holy even

Liked: Really pretty overall.

Disliked: The only thing I had an issue with (and it is very subjective) was the extremely thin toilet paper.

Liked: Breakfast cakes were so amazing!

Liked: Location, rooms and host.

Liked: Beautiful view from our room! The breakfast was very good! The owner lives on the ground floor of the bed and breakfast and was always there if we needed anything. Very short drive to Assisi.

Liked: The room was a good size and clean. The cappuccino at breakfast was good.

Disliked: The wifi never worked and the host refused to fix it. My family had 3 phones and 1 laptop. None of them could connect. Breakfast had very limited options(the smallest of all of our stays in Italy. The location was awful, unless you had your own car. It was in the middle of nowhere. Each time we went to town, it was a 25 euro cab ride. We left early, even though our stay was prepaid. We checked into a hotel in town and were much happier.
