Liked: Room very nice upon first view. Problems with staff ruined our stay

Disliked: 1: the sofa”bed” was difficult to open. Phone call to management was difficult as we were told to “just lift it up. It’s a sofa bed.” Turned out the bed had to be managed from the top back. Ok we did that. 2: once opened it was obvious the sheets were not only not changed but had a ruin stain clearly visible. Additionally, when we had requested a blanket for that bed we were told we could not get one “because it is a couch not a bed.” 3: after complaining about the urine stained sheets we were switched to a second room. We again requested a blanket for that bed but were denied one because it’s a couch. Looks like sofa beds get sheets but no blankets. 4: Finally, we were told by the management team that they would contact their lawyers about our “harassment” which we can only assume was too many requests. My traveling companion and I are a doctor and an electrical engineer. Both grown women over 60 and never yet been subjected to such rudeness.

Liked: The property was absolutely stunning. Located right above the marina. I could sit all day and watch the hustle and bustle below. Sunsets were stunning. Apartment was clean and bright

Disliked: The stairs are an absolute killer. There are 5 flights of narrow, steep marble stairs to access the apartment. This is after the 3 or 4 sets between the train station and the property. Im a fit male in my 40’s and after taking our 3 suitcases up I was dripping with sweat and gasping for air. This is all part of the Cinque Terre experience. but absolutely do not book this apartment if you have any kind of Health or mobility issues or are traveling with kids

Liked: Magnificent views from the deck. Best views in Cinque Terre. Excellent air conditioning, lighting hot and cold water, showers and bathroom.

Disliked: Very steep and rather dirty common stairway in the building. And of course there are lots of steep stairs generally to access the building itself.

Liked: It was in a great location near the water, food and shops

Disliked: No where in the description of the property did they say it was a 4 story walk up. 83 steep stairs to be exact. No elevator. No one to help you with your heavy luggage. The WiFi and satellite barely worked. And they charge you if you want to make a coffee. Very expensive stay for this place. I will not return there.

Liked: Gorgeous views

Disliked: More comfortable seating area

Liked: Location can’t be beat.

Disliked: Lot of stairs, but manageable and expected for the area.

Liked: Beautiful view of town and the Marina!

Disliked: No complaints but if you aren’t capable of climbing the stairs with luggage this may not be the place for you to stay! I enjoyed the challenge and it was worth the view upon arrival to the room!!!

Liked: Location was excellent. The views were unbelievable. The apartment was clean and had everything listed in the booking.

Disliked: The communication with the hosts was timely, but not efficient. The ac upon arrival was leaking bad and we had to use a garbage can to catch the water. This was communicated to the hosts immediately, but the issue was never addressed in the three days we were there. My daughter was locked in the bathroom due to a faulty lock. The host responded via text, but offered no help as to how to get her out. We eventually were able to do it, but on our own. The stairs were a whole other issue. We are fit and healthy, and were able to use the stairs, but I feel like a lot of guests would have an issue. This should have been more clear in the booking.
