Lago Garden Hotel & Spa

Liked: The hotel and spa were absolutely beautiful, the facilities are great and the atmosphere is lovely and relaxing. Our roof also had a small issue with a leak and this was resolved very quickly by management and the maintenance team who were so helpful and friendly.

Disliked: A small issue but it would be much easier to get towels for the spa at the spa itself rather than walking across to reception. Again, not a big problem but it would be a lot more convenient to get it from the spa.

Liked: Nice service, great buffet

Disliked: We had problema with smelling in the room, but got a new room as soon as possible, the scaled shower heads should be changed

Liked: Well maintained in all aspects including green areas.

Disliked: Weak WiFi in few areas. In my room 3206 very poor signal.

Liked: Great breakfast and spacious rooms. Close walk to the ocean and some great restaurants.

Liked: Good breakfast, beautiful well kept gardens, just like being in the tropics. It's a hotel with a colonial air to it, a little dated but nonetheless the suite was perfect, well maintained and had evrything we needed.

Disliked: It is very much a resort for Germans, it's a pity it wasn't more international

Liked: Great location, clean, quiet, beautiful setting, fabulous breakfast, lovely staff.

Disliked: They provide 1 complementary tea bag and one coffee pod in the room for the whole stay. Bring your own and your own uht milk

Liked: The hotel is quite tranquil and situated very close to the small town. There is plenty of room with separate pool areas. The suite met our basic needs as a family of 4.

Disliked: Upon our arrival, we were kindly offered a snack, which was much appreciated given our late arrival. While I personally found the tapas enjoyable, my children, who are not typically particular about food, found them challenging. It would be beneficial if there were more child-friendly options available. Regarding the in-room amenities, we noted that there was a limited supply of complimentary water upon arrival, and this was not replenished throughout our stay. We would anticipate a five-star establishment to provide a consistent supply of water in the rooms. Other refreshments and snacks were available in the minibar, but these were quite costly. The suite itself was rather modest, and the air conditioning provided minimal comfort during the evenings. We occasionally encountered some impoliteness and dismissiveness from the bar staff, particularly the more senior members. It sometimes felt as though they were doing us a favor by providing service, which was often quite slow. On our departure day, we had a late flight and were not offered a late checkout. We were directed to the spa area to prepare for our journey home, which proved to be quite inconvenient for three women sharing a single shower and limited changing space. The changing area was quite confined, even for one person. Furthermore, it was inconvenient when the spa closed and the lights were turned off without staff checking if anyone was still utilizing the facilities. While each of these points individually may seem minor, collectively they detracted from the overall experience one would expect from a five-star hotel at this price point.
