“The cost-performance ratio is extremely low.”
The front desk staff were neither friendly nor unfriendly. The breakfast was bad; the servers clearing tables were rude and noisy, and staff moved around carelessly without paying attention to guest traffic flow—clearly lacking training and professionalism. The elevator was tiny, and the rooftop facilities were nothing special, just an empty space. I couldn’t feel any sense that the hotel cared about guests. It was just a different place to sleep.

“Acceptable”
The breakfast was bad. The dining staff were poorly trained — they cleared tables roughly and noisily, and when moving around they didn’t watch the flow of guests, bumping through the area. The front desk staff in the lobby were lukewarm. The elevator is tiny. The rooftop facilities were uninspired — basically just an empty space. In summary: nothing unpleasant happened, but I couldn’t feel any care from the hotel and I can’t point to a single positive.

“Worth revisiting”
This was my first time staying at a Waves (Lakeshore) hotel brand — overall the place was very clean and the staff were friendly. There were lots of activities, and in the evening they even had a late-night "Dark Party" snack session. The whole atmosphere was very relaxed. 😎 Breakfast had a wide variety, and the late-night snack options were plentiful as well. Best of all, you can have brunch until 1:30 PM. I recommend travelers come and try it.

“Good service, but the location is remote.”
You can use breakfast after checking out until 13:30, which makes things very relaxed for parents with infants. The downside is the hotel is really remote with no shops nearby; the underground parking is limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. If you go out casually and return to find no indoor parking, it’s very inconvenient for families with babies. The hotel's facilities are also quite basic—there’s a small photo spot for Instagram-style shots, but no gym and no pool. Mostly you end up staying in the room to rest, giving it more of a business-hotel feel.

“The bathroom in the room emits mid-frequency noise.”
Stayed in room ***. At first I ran the dehumidifier and didn’t notice anything unusual. But when I turned it off before going to bed, I kept hearing noises throughout the night. I confirmed they weren’t coming from the air conditioner or fridge — they were coming from the bathroom and toilet, and the sounds changed in tone so they couldn’t just be dismissed as white noise. In the end I had to turn the dehumidifier back on to drown out the noise. The soundproofing with other rooms isn’t great either, but I expected that. Overall, for a stay that cost over NT$5,000, I won’t consider this place again.

“Excellent”
The accommodations were clean and the staff were friendly. Facilities are complete; there’s a small children’s play area on the rooftop, but I didn’t see hotel staff supervising it in the evening. The late checkout and long breakfast service hours are convenient (the food was alright, though the restaurant staff could be more attentive and the unusually tall children’s chairs were a bit of a minus). These two points are quite good overall, and I was satisfied. The hotel offers high value for money, but walking access to nearby attractions is limited—having your own transport is more convenient. Overall, it’s a recommended place to stay.

“a vegan friendly hotel???”
Strictly speaking, this hotel is not a vegan friendly hotel. For example, you will have less breakfast options than those in other hotels. No vegan bread or toast, but jam.... Therefore, vegan guests may have to find more good themselves after meals....

“The cost-performance ratio is excellent.”
Stayed with my parents. I thought I had booked a triple room—or maybe a quad—but when we arrived it turned out to have two large beds, which was awesome. I originally booked through Agoda and it seemed like check-in would be self-service, but there was actually staff to help when we arrived. Because we got there early and weren’t sure what to do in Yilan, we checked in early and they even let us get into the room ahead of time—great service. The room was big and very clean, and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend. 👍🏻
