Las Casitas del Arco Iris

Liked: Everything about accommodations was first class with large rooms (bathroom was bigger than some of our bedrooms in other stays in Peru). Excellent and delicious breakfast (made to order omelets). However, most importantly, the property is attached to the school Ninos Del Arco Iris, where we learned about an amazing and creative primary school for underprivileged. The profits from your stay go towards the school.

Disliked: It is located almost 4 kilometers from the main square but they can arrange transport to town. We chose to walk to experience the daily life of the community

Liked: Spacious rooms, lovely well cared for and mature grounds and feels like being surrounded by nature, quiet and peaceful oasis and place to retreat to after a day of excursions

Disliked: Needed two electric radiators in each room - one for bedroom and one bathroom as winter evenings can be pretty cold with those stone and brick walls! Fireplace not practical and can get smoky once lit

Liked: Very friendly, accommodating and helpful staff - delicious food - all profits raised goes to local Peruvian primary school

Liked: The most beautiful accommodation during our trip around Peru. The casitas are stunning, the meditation hall, the gardens, the staff. Everything was perfection and you can feel the love with which this place has been created. And the school - although it was closed for holidays - looked so inspiring and created with the same love and attention to detail as the rest of the facilities. A unique place to visit. An absolute must!

Liked: High recommend Valeria and the security team are lovely they cannot do enough for you. Washing services breakfast and dinner at the room with no charge for bringing it.

Liked: We loved kind and helpful staff, their artistic room, fireplace, bathtab, the surrounding nature. The air is very clean. We also loved the dinners at their restaurant! Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended! We also love the fact that it is run by the foundation for the education of deprived children, and the profits are used to support the local children.
