Le Hotel Hotel, Phnom Penh

The room is like a Faraday cage. The walls are half a meter thick. No Wifi gets in and no cell phone signal gets in. You're forced down to the lobby for wifi. Not good when you want to talk on the phone or order take out. The staff was friendly. However the hotel was overrun with cage fighters. Guys walking around looking for a fight. Uncomfortable hostel full of these guys right next to my room 102. Very smelly, and a bunch of stray cats on the couch hanging around outside my room door. I paid for breakfast but got nothing. Said they were working and didn't make it. The sweetest girl at the front desk was kind enough to go down the street and get me a coffee. Oh no towels in the bathroom. This hotel has potential. Fix the internet problem. Don't let all the hostel guys smoke and act like fools around the place. Give guests breakfast when they pay for it. Get rid of the funky smells, and make sure towels are in the bathrooms. Good luck.

Definitely quirky, and definitely worth what I paid. There is a sense of faded glory, but the rooms are clean and spacious. The whole place is full of interesting nooks and crannies that bring out the 6-year-old explorer in me. Love it.

Bit rough around the edges

Im sorry for this review, but overall it was not a good stay.

The Manager / owner of the hotel is a very amiable personality looking into guest needs. The one drawback is that the rooms, which are very large (huge plus point) does not seem to cool the area effectively. Believe a larger capacity Air Conditioner would rectify this anomaly. All in all a lovely stay and compliments to the very attentive staff. Tk you.

Horrendous

Its an excellent place except for the Wi-Fi. The staff is very friendly, the room is spotless, and all the services work perfectly except for the Wi-Fi. Its a shame that such a beautiful place has such terrible Wi-Fi.

Good location, nice looking exterior. Old and not well maintained inside. Filthy. Furniture laying in the hallways. Breakfast included in my package was terrible: bread, boiled and coffee. Nothing was clean. Staff were there but only to look at their phones. This hotel will work if you just need a place quick but it can also ruin your visit so choose carefully. You have to spend about $**USD or more to have a nice hotel here.
