“Pool is under maintenance”

We paid extra for a business class room and they gave us a room that didn’t match the pictures. It had no city views and the room was pretty outdated. We asked for a different room but they told us the hotel was fully booked, on a Monday night, when you could clearly still book the same room category online on that date. The main thing is that we only booked this hotel because it was my wife’s birthday and wanted to chill by the pool for a day but they only told us that the pool was under maintenance and we couldn’t use it after we proceeded with the check in and paid the deposit which felt pretty scammy. They have a shuttle that you have to wait 15min that brings you to a poorly rated hotel nearby that has a pool. Really not ideal, no one was using it neither. When we told them about our disappointment the staff couldn’t care less, even after I told them it was my wife’s birthday and they even refused to do a gesture for us. Terrible experience and customer service. The only highlight and the only reason why we didn’t put zero stars everywhere was John the concierge who was the only empathetic person from the entire staff and was able to bring smiles to our face when we just wanted to leave this hotel and never come back. Thank you John.

Disliked: The only negative I found was the WiFi in our room, the connection was not stable and it kept dropping the signal
