Lotus Art Inn （PEK Airport）

Liked: It was like staying in a little village but in the middle of Beijing

The room was very clean, well-maintained, and perfectly located near the airport. But the real highlight was Sophie, she was incredible. Her English was perfect, and she was unbelievably friendly, warm-hearted, and helpful. She literally saved me after I completely missed that my connection flight requiered an airport change. In the middle of the night, she organized everything for me, exchanged money, arranged a taxi, and picked me up from the airport at 3 AM. I’ve rarely experienced such kindness and dedication. Highly recommended!

Liked: Very polite and personalized service, provided by Sophye, which is really valuable in a different country with a difficult language to speak, as it is the Chinese language.

Liked: It is a great location. Sophie was very welcoming and accommodating. I recommend booking here if you're EVER in Beijing. Such amazing services.

Disliked: Nothing. Everything was great.

Liked: Sophie was so helpful and the fact that she speaks perfect English is very valuable.

Disliked: Unfortunately the wifi was a bit hard to get working but in the end it did and I'm sure it'll be fixed soon.

I stayed during the day. Sophie was excellent and got me to and from the airport for a small fee with perfect timing. She had also looked up the flights and told me which gate to go to. She also offers nice conversation and her English is excellent! Very professional and kind. Amazed at how she keeps up the place all on her own, good work! The room was nice and spacious, perfect temperature and with an en-suite bathroom. Very comfy bed, I slept very well. Water bottles, kettle and cups in the room which was very considerate and convenient. Towels and soaps provided (although no idea which soap was which as it was all in Chinese - for other guests, maybe ask Sophie what's what when she shows you to your room). The only downside is perhaps the internet fluctuating a bit. But as all I needed was to send a couple of messages home I was fine. And no kitchenette, but if you need there's a shop and a restaurant nearby from what Sophie told me (I didn't get around to investigating, I had soup packages with me that I only had to add boiling water to so I was fine). You can hear the neighbours and despite the curtains there is still quite a bit of light coming in but I slept well nonetheless. If you are sensitive to this though, best to take earplugs and an eye mask and you're gonna be fine. I slept most of the day so can't say much else. Staying there for the day is the cost of 1 night's stay as marked on the site. Book the night of the day you're arriving.

Liked: Sophie was super helpful and kind. The property isn't too far from the airport. It was nice to see a side of Beijing that tourists wouldnt usually see. The room was spotless and comfortable and Sophie provided tea and coffee. The atmosphere was lovely. After we'd come back from dinner we found a red packet with a caring hand written note sympathising with our situation.. (missed our flight and now had to fly home via dubai.. scary stuff)
