Luvi Cave Hotel

Thanks to Boris’s friendly guidance, we had a wonderful stay~!! Does that sound like an ad...? We got no special perks at all. He just kindly welcomed us when we were exhausted from an early morning flight, and we were really moved by him—he even took our suitcase from the alley, and because we were arriving early to go straight on the Green Tour, he gave us breakfast saying we’d be hungry…what a surprise. He kept helping us with our itinerary. After Boris, there was someone at the front desk whose name I didn’t catch, but they helped us kindly at check-in and told us lots of things since we hadn’t prepared any plans… Thanks to them we had a great trip! The room was clean and very pretty. I’d read many reviews saying cave hotels are inconvenient, but it was just comfortable—no dust, no bugs, very tidy. It’s a bit dark, though! But it’s so pretty that you can forgive that. The area in front of the room and the photo terrace are lovely. Breakfast was tasty, and the staff who served it were really kind. I leave feeling restored in my faith in humanity. Thank you!

We checked in around 11 PM, and Boris on staff was very helpful, patiently assisting us with Google Translate since our English is limited, and clearly explained the facilities. We had pre-booked a balloon tour through the hotel, and they were very accommodating in adjusting the flight schedule due to the weather, which we really appreciated. They were also flexible about accepting payment for the balloon flight in multiple foreign currencies. When the hair dryer in our room broke, they immediately provided a new one the next day, which showed they always do their best for guests. We were also delighted that they surprised us with a cake! This was one of the best service experiences we've had at any hotel. We are truly grateful to all the staff, especially Boris, for his warm and kind care. Thank you so much for making our stay in Cappadocia wonderful!

Liked: Fantastic terraces to be able to watch the balloons (if they fly) in the morning. Perfect location. Boris was so helpful and friendly with our arrival. The room was stunning

Terrific terrace view just like the photos! It’s a bit disappointing that a lot of stone dust falls in the room, but the cave-hotel atmosphere comes through well. Kaymak was served with breakfast every day, so I ate my fill. The staff (especially Boris) were friendly and carried our luggage, which made check-in and check-out easy. Thank you!

Liked: Friendliest Staff you can ever find. Exceptional Customer Service, it was my partner’s birthday and they managed to organise a birthday cake. The staff there are amazing in all regards of service from the start to finish you will not find a better Hotel in Cappadocia that services their customers better.

Disliked: Hotel Room was joined with Restaurant, so can be mildly noisy at times.

Liked: We absolutely loved our stay at Luvi. The hotel has lots of different terraces and outdoor spaces, so you could nearly always find somewhere quiet and private to enjoy the incredible views over Göreme. It was an amazing place to watch the balloons at sunrise — some came so close and passed almost directly overhead that it felt like you could reach out and touch them! Our room wasn’t actually carved into a cave, but was beautifully designed in the traditional cave style and still felt very authentic, while being bright and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable too. The staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone spoke excellent English and they genuinely seemed to enjoy talking to their guests. We got to know one of the younger members of the family who run the hotel and you could really tell how much he cared about the business and about guests having a great stay. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of local and traditional food, and you could take it up to one of the terraces to eat overlooking the Göreme landscape. They also organised our hot-air balloon flight and a private dining experience, both of which were excellent and completely hassle-free.

Disliked: Honestly, nothing. There wasn’t a pool during our stay, but given the choice I wouldn’t sacrifice Luvi’s location, terraces and incredible views for one. We were very happy with our choice.
