MaxHome Hotel

Liked: We were getting a sleeper bus at 9.30pm to Ninh Binh and booked the hotel between heading there from Hoi An so we could store some luggage, have a shower and have a place to chill out until we got on the sleeper bus. We were able to check in early, which was fab! The room was spacious. Everything was clean, but definitely more of a budget hotel for Vietnam (which is fair as it’s only $25NZD a night). The pool was nice on the roof. We were happy to have this as an option inbetween transport. Location was good!

This is just like an easy place to stay. Nothing fancy but it has everything you need if you are a solo traveller who likes there own space

Really great location but very old with only 1 slow lift.

We arrived at the hotel at approximately 7:00 PM on 25th Aug 2026 The outside temperature was around 35°C and humid. The room provided had an air conditioner, but the AC was not functioning. As a result, the room was extremely hot, stuffy and uncomfortable to the point that we could not reasonably stay in it. The hotel provided a small table fan, but this is clearly not an equivalent solution to a functioning air-conditioned room, which is what we booked. We specifically asked for a suitable alternative room, but the hotel did not provide another suitable air-conditioned room. We therefore had no reasonable choice but to leave the property and arrange alternative accommodation at our own expense. I understand that the original booking was marked "non-refundable". However, this is not a voluntary cancellation or change of plans. We arrived at the property and attempted to use the accommodation, but the property failed to provide a usable room with the booked/expected air-conditioning facility and failed to provide a suitable alternative. I stayed at this crap hotel with and a horrrible receptionist for exactly one hour, after which we left and stayed at another property nearby. Dont be fooled by the airbrushed photos you see posted by this hotel. I have still not yet received my refund for 3 nights that I prepaid and never stayed. Receptionist couldnt care less if I passed out because of my asthma, she simply picked up her bag and left us at the mercy of some repair technician. Absolute dingy hotel in a crap condition.

The rooms are a bit old but clean. Good location near restaurants, with full services, close to My Khe Beach. The swimming pool is okay for the price.

1. Price: For 500k per night in Da Nang I think the price is reasonable. 2. About the hotel: The hotel is a bit old, but it has full amenities including a kitchenette and a water heater. However, the downside is that the furnishings are worn and the showerhead is old. The air conditioner isn’t very cold and it was leaking; I think this depends on the room — whenever anyone reports it the front desk provides quick support. The bed was okay, clean and smelled fresh. 3. Service and front desk: The staff member who works the morning shift is very sweet and enthusiastic. The hotel listens to guest feedback and fixed the shower for me the same day, with quick support. I heard they’re doing renovations this November. You might consider this hotel because the price is quite good, it’s just a bit old.

This is a very dirty hotel. There are hundreds of cockroaches under the bed and in the closet. After eating fruit and going out, I returned to find 100 cockroaches had come out and hidden under the bed. I tried to change rooms, but as soon as I opened the door to that room, cockroaches were crawling around too. The man who appeared to be the owner said there was nothing he could do and told me to just sleep. I couldn't even get a refund and had to move to a different hotel. Absolutely do not go there. It will ruin your trip.

We stayed 2 nights and found ourselves in a clean and welcoming environment with a rooftop swimming pool, secure overnight motorbike parking and helpful reception.
