“An Indian surprise in Chinatown”
Liked: Colonial Indian atmosphere in Chinatown
Disliked: The drain in the shower was clogged, so the water almost overflowed into the bedroom, which I prevented by throwing in towels.

“Our room rate included club membership and so we were given snacks if we wanted for lunch and dinner which sometimes we”
Liked: Unique character - Indian military history Rooms beautifully furnished Reception happy to change our room for us
Disliked: Everything was very good Unfortunately for the hotel there is a construction site nearby but Reception gave us a room away from that

“Great hotel with great location.”
Liked: Comfortable bed, excellent shower. Really amazing location. Incredible value if you book far in advance, especially with lounge access. We arrived at 9am after a very long flight and were offered a shower in the gym before leaving our luggage until check-in time. I would stay again.
Disliked: The room we booked was very cramped - not in terms of size, but layout. The door opens immediately onto a narrow walkway with a cabinet taking up half of it, so it's extremely awkward to open the door and enter or exit the room, especially with suitcases. I would definitely be booking a bigger room next time. The breakfast service is also extremely disorganised - it took a very long time for our food to come, approximately 45 minutes.

“Exceptional”
Liked: Excellent service and location, and felt like staying in a piece of Singapore history. Loved it being so close to Maxwell hawker centre, and only a 15 min grab to Sentosa as well. Breakfast was delicious and loved that it’s al a carte instead of buffet
Disliked: Because it’s a heritage property, the space in the rooms is a little awkward
