Mithra Cave Cappadocia

We absolutely loved our stay at Mithra Cave Hotel! From the perfect location to the wonderful hospitality, everything made our time in Cappadocia special. The staff was incredibly helpful, and their recommendations for restaurants and activities were spot on! Breakfast each morning was lovely, and the location couldn’t have been better. But the real highlight? WOW, the hot air balloons! Watching hundreds of balloons fill the sky each morning was truly unforgettable. Pro tip: Book a room with a private balcony! Being able to step outside each morning and enjoy your own private viewing of the balloons was worth every penny. What an incredible way to start the day! We had such a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay here again. If we make it back to Cappadocia, there’s no question where we’ll be staying. Highly recommend!

The hotel, ambiance, layout, location and terrace (if we get balloons in the background, which we didn’t get) are amazing. Location is perfect. It is a beautiful hotel, tastefully decorated, a gem in terms of ambience and location. But the food isn’t good and frontdesk is not responsive. We had more help from local taxi drivers than staff at reception. Breakfast was ok, it was included in the price. Dinner here was the single bad meal we had in our entire trip. (Sedef and TopCave restaurants are the best places for lunch/dinner).

This was a fabulous hotel staying experience for a first time Cappadocia visitor. The staff here were helpful, friendly and polite. They helped taking our luggage’s to the room. The explanation of the hotel service was clear and composed. Also, the breakfast was very delicious. The view in the terrace was amazing. The whole hotel was beautiful and you could take many photos in the hotel. I recommend you guys to stay.

Great location and a very good hotel at a reasonable price in the heart of Cappadocia

Such a lovely hotel, great rooms, superb location, fabulous views, great food, and the nicest ever staff - so so helpful and kind. Very clean, very generous portions of food, and always going out of their way to assist

The facilities, location, and staff were all excellent, and I had a very good memory here. When I was having trouble because the horse riding pickup was taking a long time, they helped by contacting the service on my behalf. There is one point that I think could be improved. This hotel is well-known for the photo spot on the rooftop, so many people come and line up in the morning when the hot air balloons are flying. I went outside at 5:45 and waited in line around 6:00. There are no specific rules about how many minutes each group can stay, so by 6:00, there were five groups ahead of me. I continued to wait, but a pair of Japanese women monopolized the photo spot for about 40 minutes. As a result, the three groups that were ahead of me gave up and left after 40 minutes. There were three more groups behind me, but in the end, only one group stayed, while the others gave up and left. I woke up early and lined up because I wanted to take photos, and I understand that having no time limit might seem reasonable, but I felt it was unfair for one group to monopolize the best time slot. I would have appreciated it if the staff could have managed the situation and rotated the groups. I regretted not speaking up to the staff or the individuals occupying the spot, as I only waited quietly. Although I managed to take a photo with the hot air balloon passing by, I felt a bit frustrated that there wasn't a system in place to share that brief moment.

They messed up my room for the first night but fortunately put me in the correct room the next day. My husband came back from a run and was exhausted but the reception refused to give him water. They said to go to the restaurant which is many stairs up. He was exhausted. Otherwise breakfast was okay nothing very good. The best thing is the hot air balloon view. Amazing rooftop for that. And the hotel is very responsive and helpful on WhatsApp to book stuff
