Mohenic Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

The hotel’s location is very satisfying. Myeongdong’s main shopping district is within walking distance, with plenty to do and eat, and there is a subway station right in front of the hotel. Namdaemun Market, Shinsegae Department Store, and Lotte Department Store are all reachable on foot. There were some inconveniences. Mohenic Hotel shares the same building as Migliore Hotel, which was confusing at first. The front desk is on the 17th floor, and only one staff member was on duty. The biggest problem was a persistent sewage smell in the room. Because the building is shared with Migliore, the elevators are also very crowded and confusing to use. The interior has old furniture, and there is no built-in air conditioning, so a portable air conditioner and a fan are provided. Fortunately, the weather during my stay wasn’t hot, so I didn’t need air conditioning. I stayed in a triple room, and the room was quite spacious, but the bathroom was small.

Although it's a bit confusing to have 2 hotels located in the same building, Mohenic is centrally located and it's so cool to have the shopping centers in the same building so I love the easy access to be able to go back to my room anytime I want.

Amenities include towels, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap only. Note: no toothbrush provided. There is a bidet toilet. The single bed is narrow so you can fall off sometimes. The front desk is on the 17th floor, but before check-in you don't have a key card, so you have to use the service elevator.

Really disappointing, We had to take service lift to go to a tiny lobby as mohenic shares building with Migliore. Migliore staff are rude to Mohenic guests No air conditioning so it was pretty hot at nights. Carpets are sooo dirty and stains on control console on bedside. Lifts take so long to arrive and when they do they are completely full. There is no telephone in room. No WiFi but they give a pokifi with refundable deposit Really not worth it for the cost it charges ( I was there on a weekend ) Really not worth the price

The location is the selling point of this hotel. Room was just average and centralized AC wasn’t strong enough during our stay, had to use a fan. No wifi in the room

Worst experience of my life! I booked four days and three nights, and it's only the first night — I already have to leave a bad review; I've never had this happen before! Air conditioning: It's centralized air conditioning, but because the outside temperature hasn't reached 28°C, there is no cooling. There are no windows, only a single fan! I had to rely on one fan all night — it felt less like a trip and more like a punishment! The room is old and dirty; the towels had stains and I wouldn't want to use them! Wi‑Fi: You need to borrow a Wi‑Fi hotspot device. Power: Using their charging cable, my devices wouldn't charge at all — it actually drained the battery. I brought a hairdryer and it couldn't be used; it got damaged! If this were a budget hotel, I could accept it, but this room costs over *** HKD per night — totally unacceptable! Three nights cost more than ***, which is *** KRW. This has been a nightmare!

Very basic and rates can be very good if you catch it at the right time. One lady at check in was an angel while the other at checkout was a nightmare.
