Mon Cheri Cruises

Liked: We had an amazing three-day, two-night cruise with Mon Cheri! Our executive suite with private balcony was large and luxurious. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was delicious, and they catered so well for all our dietary requirements. There was a great range of activities, and Jasmine, our knowledgeable guide and t’ai chi instructor, was excellent! Harry, our waiter, was amazing and looked after us so well throughout the cruise. Highly recommended!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike but just be aware that this will be a digital detox - wifi is extremely limited and often unavailable. If you have a local eSIM, you’ll have more connectivity but with periods of no service.

Liked: The staff was extremely nice, specially at lunch and dinner time. Ben who looked after ourselves was really amazing, and the food was really good. The view and sunset from the boat were breathtaking. We did a 1 night stay and it was enough. The transfer and organisation was super!

Disliked: The room should have been a bit cleaner especially the bathroom. The noise of the AC was horrible, and if you turn it off it gets really really warm in the room. We were room 304 so close to the stair case and you could hear noises from corridor etc.. The activities were OK, you can kayak and swim but you have to keep the lifejacket on so it kills the swimming experience. Also don’t expect to have crystal clear water because it’s not, it’s more brown/ green but nothing to do with the organisation of course!

Liked: The food was very good. Ben our server went above and beyond to ensure everything was in order.

Disliked: Not the claimed 5 star experience. Also the experience is less than 1 full day with very little actual cruising. The transfer from and to Hanoi were likely some of the worst transfer experiences ever. When under way the vibration and noise in our room was not great.

Liked: We really enjoyed the cruise. It was our first cruise and we did the 2 night, 3 days. Everything was structured to a schedule that they provide to you on arrival. We particularly want to mention Ann, who made our stay enjoyable, she helped to ensure we were well looked after, and our dietary requirements were met and meals were enjoyed (vegetarian and my partner has a nut allergy). The activities were great (we enjoyed the cave and kayaking). Our only critiques being, whilst the food was delicious, we didn't need 5 courses at lunch and dinner (however I suppose it goes with the luxury feel) and whilst we enjoyed the activities, they did mean quite a bit of time off the cruise boat itself and less time to relax (particularly Cat Ba Island on day 2). Overall a great experience in the picturesque Ha Long Bay!

Liked: Well planned, transperant, caring staff, specific mention of Roy who was taking care of our strict diet needs because we are pure vegetarian.

Disliked: Though they tried their level best to provide our food requirements but choices are little. Otherwise highly recommended.

Fantastic cruise and very well organised experience. Charlie was an excellent guide and manager of activities and Sunny looked after us at dinner and especially looked after our kids.

Liked: Trip was amazing! So beautiful. Staff is so wonderful, they deserve a big shout out. Ducky was our waiter and he was fabulous!

Disliked: The bed was too hard!!

Liked: An amazing stay on Mon Chéri Cruise in Ha Long Bay! Everything was exceptional—from the warm welcome to the top-notch service and the clean, spotless, wonderful rooms. Not a single mistake! What I loved the most was that they provide Halal food. The entire team was incredibly helpful and attentive. A big thank you to Adam, Rey, Jimmy, Ben, and Charlie, as well as the wonderful Cruise Manager, HOANG (Elvis). A special and deep thanks to the amazing Sunny, who truly took care of everything. I loved every single moment!"
