“Muong Thanh... barely average hotel.”
The hotel was fairly empty when we stayed….. very much the “off-season”. It is quite old, but adequate for sleeping. The bathroom was poorly lit and smelled damp, the toilet blocked and the bath was very slow to empty. The shower was over the bath with a material curtain. The "buffet breakfast" was one of the worst I've had... there was some fruit (watermelon, rambutan, longan), eggs were available, and the cooked dishes were basically rice and steamed leafy veg, cold fried rice (the heating element wasn't working for the 3 days we were there, despite me telling them), and some sort of meat/bone/gristle stew (which varied daily). I understand that with the low occupancy that they were on a budget with the breakfasts, but they could have done something about the fried rice heater, especially considering they had several sitting idle about a metre away. I did try the underground swimming pool, which was cold and maybe not the freshest. I showered again afterwards to remove the smell. The hotel was fairly well placed near the lake, and the staff were polite and helpful, but the best thing about it was probably their elevator, which was very quick. Overall, I think one could do better than Muong Thanh, especially given the large numbers of hotels there.

“Snowy beautiful”
Nothing to complain about — booked at a very good price, only a bit over 800k per night and it even included breakfast right after Tet.

“Family holiday”
My family, which includes both elderly and young members, had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The hotel is centrally located, convenient for reaching many dining spots... very close to Dalat Market. The staff are friendly.

“Recommended but with caveats”
The Hotel is great value for money, but has a few downfalls. It is quite old and needs a bit of sprucing up. Everything else was ok but don’t expect miracles. The staff were exceptional and friendly.For what we paid, we really couldn’t complain.

“Exceptional”
The room was clean, the hotel is cute, and the breakfast at the hotel was OK. The hotel has a charging station for electric cars. My husband and I stayed in this room with our two young children and we were still able to sleep on the room’s one bed. The hotel is right near Xuan Huong Lake, convenient for getting around the city. This room was spacious, with a sitting area and two toilets—suitable for a large family because I booked an extra small room and the hotel arranged connecting rooms so the family could stay together.
