High price but poor service, terrible facilities, severely run-down, staff not proactive with guests, and it's very difficult to get support from the front desk.

Good service, the staff take very good care of guests. They were enthusiastic about carrying luggage up to the room. Booking through the app was cheaper than booking directly.

4-star hotel but looks old. Breakfast was terrible because it's far from the center.

Will definitely come back and support it. Everything seemed pretty good except the pool is quite old and worn.

The breakfast buffet is only acceptable on weekends (when there are more guests) because the food is fresher then. I stayed an extra night on Sunday and noticed the Monday breakfast was just reheated leftovers from the previous meal. The meat was off and smelled bad, and the fruit was wilted and limp from sitting too long. On weekdays the hotel should switch to an à la carte breakfast service — the quality would be better.

My family of three (two parents and an older daughter) booked a room for four people for two nights. The listing described two separate rooms, each with a double bed, with an interconnecting door between them. I paid about *** on Agoda for the two nights. But when we checked in, only one room had a bathroom; the other “bathroom” was designed like a storage room containing a refrigerator and a kitchen table but no stove or kitchen appliances. Both rooms were very cramped and stuffy, with a view of a large wall blocking all the light. It was terrible after driving eight hours in a day to arrive at a place like a prison. The hotel was very empty, with many vacant rooms. We asked to be given two separate single rooms instead and were willing to pay the difference, but they refused. They said they would only switch us to one single room for two people; we would have to buy the other room ourselves. They offered us two options: 1) Choose a VIP room if I paid an extra *** for the two nights; or 2) downgrade to a single room for two people costing a little over *** (Agoda showed it as just over ***), and buy an additional room for our daughter. By then it was quite late, nearly 6 p.m. I felt that paying an extra *** per night wasn’t worth it— for that price I could stay at a five-star hotel. I ended up accepting a single room at a price equal to half of what I had already paid on Agoda and bought another single room for my daughter for two nights, totaling over ***. They asked me to sign a paper that said “agree to downgrade the room.” I found this handling completely unacceptable, but I had no other choice because I couldn’t stay in that stuffy, storage-like room with a view of a wall. I’m unhappy with how the hotel staff handled this. As an Agoda customer for more than ten years, having booked rooms around the world, and having stayed at Muong Thanh hotels in many provinces before, I have never seen a hotel handle a guest’s problematic room this way. I have supported Muong Thanh in the past, but after this experience I don’t want to return. Their handling made me feel pressured and showed a lack of concern for the guest’s feelings. This is a very big minus for Muong Thanh Holiday Vung Tau Hotel.

Although it doesn't face the sea directly, it's only a few steps from the beach. In the central area, you can stroll around and enjoy many delicious dishes.

Pluses: in the center, close to the beach, not in the touristy areas so it’s not crowded, easy to park, rooms are decorated in a modern style, staff at the front desk are very enthusiastic and polite and helped carry our luggage. Minuses: the lobby didn’t have the air conditioning on so it was quite stuffy; the dim yellow lighting felt a bit oppressive and gloomy. The breakfast buffet had very few items and a lady at the noodle counter was unfriendly and not pleasant. Towels and bed sheets were old and discolored.
