Muong Thanh Luxury Ha Long Centre Hotel

We booked this because we saw a few videos and the reviews stated great location. The place is older, but still decent for last minute booking, What we didnt like was the massive groups that was there. There was 4 of us, my parents are older in their 80’s. We stayed there 6 days, the first few days was okay then the weekend was crazy with 2 separate massive groups. The teenagers ran up and down the hallway, prank calling and trying to open my parent’s room. The second group partied, rung our door bell while we were sleeping and laughed when we opened the door. I had to go downstairs to tell the front desk to have them go upstairs to talk to the people in the room because I didn’t want my husband to get into an altercation with them. They were drunk and loud and had the music blasting. When we checked out the front desk did apologize and said they told the group manager about it. The staff overall was very nice and extremely helpful. The reason why we don’t want to stay there or recommend it because that specific facility had massive groups on weekends and it gets very loud and noisy.

Liked: Location

Disliked: Staff

Liked: It was very close to the cruise harbour if you're going on Ha Long cruise.

Disliked: It was a ghost hotel! There seemed to be nobody around, we had to go to the other building for breakfast which wasn't so great. No coffee! Even though there were so few guests, I think the service level should have been excellent but it wasn't. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel even though the room was great, everything else was very average. When you step out of your room, it felt like a sauna..the air con was set at an odd temperature

Everything is exceptional. Having a 280 view of Ha Long Bay.

It is much cheaper than hanoi city centre. Worth to stay a night with cheaper hotel fee.

The view here is the most beautiful, with a full view of Ha Long Bay. Watch the fireworks right from the room. Classic vintage living room. The food is okay (breakfast and lunch). Considering the price, it's worth it; if traveling, this is also a point to consider.

Liked: Everything was amazing from staff to location and cleanliness.

Disliked: Elevators were a bit slow

Check-in time after 3 PM is far too late, the male front desk staff were rude to guests, the lobby was crowded, chaotic and messy. I will never stay at this hotel again.
