Novotel Amsterdam City

Stayed for 5 days, room cleaned one time only that is after request.

Liked: In terms of size and facilities, this hotel strictly follows standard European dimensions; the rooms are quite small and suitable for a maximum of two people, definitely not for a family of three. Keep this in mind if you are traveling with family. The staff's behavior was very welcoming, and the breakfast was absolutely excellent. However, the amenities do not reflect its 4-star rating; it feels much more like a 3-star hotel. The price was acceptable for what I paid. It is located quite far from the city center, making it completely unsuitable for walking to major attractions. Fortunately, public transport access is convenient, and you can easily take the metro straight to the city center and Dam Square. Overall, considering the value for money, I would give this hotel an average rating.

Liked: Location was very good, easy access to trains/metro and a vey nice park

Liked: I booked my room after my flight from Amsterdam got cancelled and i need a place to stay. I booked Novotel Amsterdam City at 9:30 pm and got the room ready when i reached the hotel. When i reached the hotel I got upgraded to king standard room because i told them about my late night flight cancellation and they staff felt sorry for me. There were also snacks at their shop which i could purchase since i didnt get a chance to have dinner. The room was absolutely amazing. It was very big for a solo traveler and I had a great view of the sunrise in the morning. The breakfast was equivalent to a 5 star hotel. Since Im a muslim and I cant eat cold cuts I was very happy to see they had alot of variety for eggs, salmon, toast, juices, coffee. I ate a full breakfast and still didnt get to try every single thing available. Also, the location is perfect i would say. Its far away from the main amsterdam canals with all the tourist but the area was beautiful, I wish I had a longer stay at the hotel. The ride to airport was a quick 12 mins via Uber and was cheaper than taking a taxi.

Disliked: It was perfect. No changes

Liked: Room was comfortable - Nespresso pods coffee was enjoyable! water fountain in 2nd floor. park outside is good for a morning walk even as hotel is close to Metro and Tram.

Liked: Very nice

Disliked: Location

Great place to stay while visiting Amsterdam. The staff were also friendly and they gave us a earlier check-in

Hotel room is spacious and clean. Front desk is friendly and helpful. Location is excellent with metro and Train station within walking distance.
