“Location is fantastic”

Fantastic base. Cleanliness is labile. Rooms were ok. Food area - I picked up a plate in the clean stack for breakfast and ended up with choc fondant all over my hands. Lipstick mark on a clean coffee cup noted in the stack etc. staff were lovely. Pool is small. It was quite noisy on the 7th floor with elevators and people heading to the pool and gym. Avoid that floor if looking for a quieter night.

“Very good”

Liked: Great location and proximity to everything. Staff friendly and great breakfast.

Disliked: Lifts out of service. We were meant to have two side by side beds, but they gave us a double and didn't fix it despite being asked. No big deal though.

  • Hotel information Novotel Melbourne on Collins are pleased to advise that our lift refurbishment project has now commenced. To provide you with a reliable, smoother, and more modern experience, our lifts are getting a complete upgrade. The Timeline: Commencing in July until December 2026 we will be upgrading one of our guest entrance lifts and two of our guest accommodation lifts. What to Expect: Three lifts will be out of service during this time which may result in longer wait times. How to Get Around: We will still be running one guest entrance lift and one guest accommodation lift as well as opening the stairwells. Need a hand with your bags or have accessibility concerns? Just let our friendly Concierge or Front Office teams know. Life’s full of ups and downs and we know this will cause some temporary inconvenience, but the end result will be well worth the wait. Thank you for your continued patience as we complete our makeover!
