Old Marina Inn

Liked: The location

Disliked: Had to get card key reset twice, Television did not work.. It has the ability to be a great place if they updated the worn out 1950's furniture. Odd note, when checking out when in the office returning the card key I rang the bell several times for 10 minutes no one answered 🤔

Liked: It's exactly what you pay for. Not a super fancy place, but it's economy priced, it's clean and the staff is friendly.

Liked: Room & property was very clean. Plenty of free parking at the hotel. It was in a good area & was exceptionally quiet.

Disliked: Nothing really, just the price due to it was Labor Day weekend.

Liked: Location, especially for a busy weekend, Labor day. Closeness to the highway. Room was simple but clean. Opening windows on both sides allowed for a nice breeze to cool the room off, leaving the need for AC not noticeable.

Disliked: The room I had had a sagging bathroom door which didn't let it close fully unless you "carried" into place. The shower door also didn't fully close, so morning showers ended up with a wet bathroom floor. Leaving the windows open (needed for cooling and ventilation) left with early morning car/street noises, we had the room closest to the road, so other rooms further back might not suffer from this.

Liked: To be honest, I really didn’t like anything except maybe that I can park right in front of the door.

Disliked: From the moment I opened the door, the room smelled very musty, window screens are ripped, the beds were very squeaky and uncomfortable, the carpet really needs to be replaced. I did not want to walk barefoot in there, the bed still has ripped plastic on it that could be seen, the bathroom did not feel clean to me, there’s no air-conditioning and the fan really didn’t help too much. THE SHOWER WAS THE WORST PART. IT WOULD GO FROM HOT TO COLD ON YOU CONSTANTLY. WE HAD HORRIBLE SHOWERS I was just really disappointed. Even though I only stayed for one night, I paid nearly $300. That’s crazy.

Liked: The motel was close to our relatives in Marina. Although it was a motel, I appreciate that you can park your car right outside of the room.

Disliked: The room did not have air conditioning. However, since it is close to the ocean, their was a breeze if you leave the windows open.

Liked: arrived midnight from sequoia. so i didnt really explore the place

Disliked: none
