Ascott Orchard Singapore

It's been a long time since I stayed in a hotel where the bathroom still uses a shower curtain. Feels like a budget hotel. And the curtains smell really bad. Very inconsistent with the star status of this hotel. Makes my mood really bad.

Great location. Walkable to shopping, food and public transport. Very easy to get around. Beautiful hotel, clean and comfortable room. I would choose this hotel again.

Liked: The location is perfect for exploring on foot as well as getting to public transportation. We also enjoyed being able to walk to the mall from the link to buy groceries and to cook in the serviced apartment. We used the workout center during our stay which was great.

Disliked: When we arrived in our room there was no dish towels to dry the dishes. This was taken care of the next day.

Liked: The reception and staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. We celebrated our wedding and booked a room at Ascott Orchard as our bridal room. The staff prepare beatiful decorations and accommodated our requests on simple videography and photography as well as parking and drop-off at the reception lobby.

Disliked: Maybe due to the F1 being the same period, the prices were extraordinarily high, the facilities were great but I did not managed to secure an accessible room. They did provide me a shower chair but there were some challenges as a wheelchair user not having grab bars in the restroom. However, I would like to emphasize that the staff were transparent and honest about the room arrangements and did whatever they could to help support and made our stay comfortable. It was definitely no form of a negative experience whatsoever. If given the opportunity, we would like to come by to try their accessible rooms.

I love so many things about the hotel. Firstly, non-carpeted, which is great for allergy sufferer like me. Cleaning did not use super strong chemicals or fragrances, so i had no issues. They were able to accommodate my request for non-feather, non-wool bedding and this gave me great nights’ sleep. I did not sneeze once in 5 days. The aircon vent blew toward me but i had no issues, so it must be very clean. I also love that staff were not pretentious. Amenities were great, with a microwave, kitchenette and little dining area i could make my own bfast each morning.

Liked: Location

Disliked: Room not so clean, we arrived in our room and the trash from the previous occupants where still there and they were smelly. Also, is housekeeping supposed to clean used glasses and plates? We cleaned them ourselves.

Liked: Ok

Disliked: AC was not working properly whole night.
