Orchida St. George Hotel

The staff were all kind and made me feel very comfortable. The room was clean and the view of the Nile River was wonderful. There's also a bathtub, so I recommend it to Japanese guests.

Liked: Reasonably priced, good location, good services

Disliked: Extremely dated room, shower head low pressure, limited hot water supply

The accommodation on the island is quite more expensive than in the city, but it's clean and the staff is friendly. It might feel a bit scary being in an alley, but Aswan feels relatively safe even at night (compared to Cairo).

It's the second time I stay at Orchida St. George in Aswan. It's a centrally located hotel nearby the riverbank of the Nile and the Old Souks with the best restaurants in town. The hotel looks a bit run down from the outside, but it's spotlessly clean, and have super friendly and attentive reception. We got a room with river view and a small balcony. The rooms have hot water, fridge and AC. The hotel can also arrange excursions to nearby attractions and Abu Simbel. The price is affordable, so it's definitely the best value for money in Aswan!

Location is very very Good, can say prime location of Aswan. Building is little Old, Rooms are also little OLD, but facility wise that's OK. Safety perspective it's fine.

When I made the reservation, the service charge was stated as 1700 yen, but on the day, I was charged 1700 pounds. It was late at night and I was tired, so I paid without complaining.

Liked: Nothing

Disliked: The location is near corniche but you need to climb some stairs very hard for bring big luggage and car not accessible very small road. The hotel very old and all furniture very old. They should be invested new furniture, toilet is dirty and view is bad. Not recommended

Very budget hotel. Very much cost effective. Friendly staff. Best part is nearby location.
