Orient Luxury Hotel - Jiao Xi

Close to the highway exit, the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. If you want to buy something near the station, you can even borrow bicycles from the hotel to ride around. The hotel facilities include a water slide, swimming pool, sauna room, hot spring pool, cold spring pool, and paid KTV. The best part is the breakfast — plentiful, healthy and delicious — and you can still eat after checking out (until 1 PM). Facilities can even be used until 3 PM after check-out (check-out time is 11 AM). I rate it even higher than Hanmu; I really liked it and will definitely come back next time.

Breakfast was a bit so-so, but delivery service was available and the beef shabu-shabu broth tasted like galbitang, so it went well with rice. The public hot spring and sauna, and the in-room jacuzzi were all clean and nice. Above all, the staff were all friendly. I recommend it for a trip with your parents!

The breakfast really fills you up—everyone in the family can find something they’ll eat. Very thoughtful and delicious. The room’s hot spring area is well designed so the room doesn’t feel damp. A really excellent design. The room is well maintained. The ventilation works well, so the room stays fresh and crisp.

Great value for money overall, and the staff were all very polite. The bathtub is large and located on the balcony; the two-person jacuzzi was just right. Breakfast included freshly made beef soup and a made-to-order scallion pancake omelet with Sanxing green onions 👍👍. There were small rolls, a simple congee with side dishes, 3–4 hot dishes, and fruit. Although the selection wasn’t huge, everything was quite refined and very tasty. The only downside was the small bathroom—my boyfriend, who is a bit big-built, felt a bit cramped.

They listed the same tatami room under different names and descriptions, and didn’t respond when I asked about it. The tatami room was cheaper, but I paid extra to book a room that explicitly said it had a bed — when I arrived the hotel gave me the tatami room. The hotel told me to contact Agoda and said it wasn’t their responsibility. After the trip I contacted Agoda, filed a complaint, and provided all the details, but there was no resolution. The hotel is a bit far from the station but was clean and the facilities weren’t bad. I felt bad about paying an extra 30,000–40,000 KRW per night, but I liked the hotel and would consider staying there again.

1. The gym is well-equipped, and guests are provided with complimentary bottled water — I loved that! 2. The overall environment is clean and tidy, with no unpleasant odors. 3. Although you can sometimes hear other guests in the hallway outside the rooms (when they're a bit loud), inside the room you aren't disturbed by neighboring rooms at all — that's great! 4. What I fear most at hot spring hotels is hearing water running from other rooms in the middle of the night; here it's completely quiet — wonderful! 5. The restaurant is small, but you can tell the hotel cares about the food. There are many breakfast options and everything is very fresh.

Liked: Modern, crisp and pared back design, attentive and helpful staff, a good hotpot restaurant and a great breakfast buffet.

Disliked: Bit of a slog from the station on foot, so grab a taxi. Certainly don’t trust Apple Maps, which took us a couple of km up a bush track out of our way.

I’ve always been a regular at the Fenghua properties. Service, dining, and staff are all excellent. 1. The basement parking has a single entrance and exit. 2. The cocktails at the bar are even better than at Kenting Fenghua. 3. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices — one of the reasons I favor Fenghua. The food quality is high. 4. The private hot spring on the room balcony had a few small insects, but the staff kept everything clean.
