Ortigia Casa Fab

Liked: We had a fantastic stay at Casa Fab! The apartment was beautiful, spacious, very clean, and tastefully decorated. The location is perfect for exploring Ortigia. The host, Fabio, was very helpful, responsive, and always available whenever we needed anything, even when we arrived late in the evening. Communication was excellent throughout our stay. If you’re traveling by car, having convenient parking nearby is another plus.

Disliked: Everything was perfect!

Liked: We stayed for 7 nights. The apartment is in a great location, very close to the Piazza Archimede (Fountain of Diana) and all the shops, restaurants and cafes. Across the street is a market that has everything you need for your stay. The apartment itself was comfortable and Fabio was very friendly and provided great recommendations for dining, pizza, pasticcerie, street food, cocktails etc. He was a wonderful host, always available for everything and anything we needed. I was not well during our stay and he was kind and compassionate to check in on me. Please note, if you have difficulties walking it does have very ancient uneven steps to get to the apartment. There is also a sign requesting not to drag your luggage on them as they are deteriorating, therefore you will need to carry it. If the luggage issue will be a problem, notify Fabio and he will have an absolutely wonderful young man named Buba who will take your luggage up upon check-in and down upon check out so do not hesitate to book this apartment. Fabio has you covered. It was a pleasure staying in the apartment and would highly recommend. Thank you Fabio and thank you Buba.

Disliked: Stairs

Liked: This was a wonderful location with an apartment to match. We had our own rooftop patio, the room was bright and airy, the bedding clean and crisp and the bathroom spotless.

Disliked: Can't think of anything!

Liked: The apartment is in a great location - very easy to get everywhere in Ortigia and feels like you're really living there. What a charming island! The owner is wonderful - so helpful and full of information. He goes out of his way to make sure your stay is perfect. We had a small issue with some slipperiness on the floor and it was IMMEDIATELY taken care of. We were very impressed. Same for the cleaning person. She is delightful.

Disliked: The room itself was a bit uncomfortable (the position and comfort of the bed) and the way the electrical works is a little inconvenient/complicated but appreciate the fact that it is energy conscious. We had an outdoor terrace that was incredible and made up for some shortcomings in the room itself! One suggestion: an extra chair and perhaps a small table high enough for dining instead of the coffee table would be more functional.

Liked: Fabio has a clean and very well appointed apartment. He was very helpful with instructions on how to arrive and had great restaurant selections. He communicated periodically through our state to make sure everything went well. The apartment is centrally located to everything which is within walking distance. The bed was very comfortable. Would highly recommend this stay to others.

Liked: Fabio has a beautiful apt, very spacious and well equipped. It was tastefully decorated as well. The location was perfect.

Disliked: The location could be better identified with the house address number showing from the street.
