“Excellent location in Old San Juan. Great comfort, but can benefit from several improvements.”
Liked: Pros: Location! Very well-located in Old San Juan, walking distance from all attractions in the colonial center, and the entrance is in a quiet, pedestrian street. It boasts a nice rooftop pool and "hot" tub, as well as a small gym. Rooms are spacious, the a/c cools well, and the bedding/pillows are very comfortable. Water pressure was great. The building is beautiful in its colonial architecture.
Disliked: Cons: Some staff members were distant and not particularly friendly. Housekeeping was inconsistent with their timing and tasks (e.g., one day they came at 11am, another day they came after 4pm; sometimes they would leave 4 towels, sometimes 3, sometimes they would leave face towels, other days they wouldn't; water bottles were not refilled). Water seeped from the shower onto the bathroom floor (a pet peeve of mine). Some areas need upkeeping (e.g., the door handle of the men's bathroom in the rooftop was broken).

“Highly recommended”
Liked: Wonderful location and very nice staff. The wine o'clock is a great addition. Rooftop pool is a truly charming place to relax and recharge.

“Unfortunately not a great stay. This was our second time staying here but we will no longer return”
Liked: The location is prime and the general setting of the hotel is nice.
Disliked: I booked 2 rooms for a family trip and neither of the rooms was serviced at all during our stay. Both rooms requested cleaning daily which never happened. We also had to call more than once for shower gel and toilet tissue.
