“First time for a solo trip”
The hotel is beautiful, been wanting to visit and chose to stay here for my 30th solo bday trip. It is close walking distance to most attractions. The art institute, target, and museums are a few minutes away. My booking had breakfast included at the hotels lockwood restaurant. Really good food and service. It also has the lockwood express for quick grab and go options. Overall, if you want an old timey historical feel, I would definitely recommend. Lobby gets busy but easy to navigate throughout once you get hang of things.

“Acceptable”
Liked: Great location
Disliked: No house keeping during the stay due to strike. The room are very outdated

“It was adequate enough.”
Liked: The location is amazing.
Disliked: There was a hotel strike the exact days we were there unfortunately so there was really no service. Garbage was piling up in hallways, they put piles of towels out on each floor by the elevators. Etc. The staff was friendly and helpful enough when approached but for the price this was unacceptable. It should’ve cost half what we paid for the service we got.

Liked: The historic building is absolutely beautiful
Disliked: Unfortunately we were there during a strike. There was no daily housekeeping. Trash was piling up by the elevators. We had to walk through the annoying picket lines every time you left the hotel

“Very good”
Liked: I really love Chicago I ran the Chicago marathon. It was perfect location to from the start and finish.of the race. The gym and pool were fantastic. The pool especially after the 26.2 miles
Disliked: They were striking during our stay. We had no housekeeping, had get towels in the hallway, garbage piled up and entering and leaving the hotel you had to listen to loud pickers banging drums yelling bed bugs and other things. We had my granddaughter with us which scared her every time we left and came back to the hotel. The price didn’t reflect our inconveniences. The price was absorbent for this kind of inconveniences

Liked: Nothing. Only location.
Disliked: There was a strike lasting all of my stay. There was noise all the time. My room was not clean during all my stay. When I raised a complaint the only solution given by the hotel was to write a google review.
