“No complaints”
This is a quiet, budget hotel and the only time you can expect the peace to be disturbed is when the empty field in front of the hotel is turned into a Deepavali fairground for a month between the months of October and November each year and the noise can be significant at night during this period. Other than that the plus point for this hotel is that the Farrer Park MRT train station less than a 100 metres away, connecting you easily to the airport and the major shopping districts which are quite nearby. The hotel has seen its better days and needs much improvement, otherwise for the price you're paying you can't complain much. You can get much cleaner and newer hotels for much less but you'd have to either walk quite a distance to the nearest train station or the shopping districts are quite far.

“Excellent”
Very clean, rooms are old but everything is clean. The whole hotel is smoking and you can smoke in the room. The risk is you may check into the room where someone has smoked and could be a challenge. Luckily my room didn’t have that issue

“Good value for money.”
The reviews were half good and half bad. The staff was unfriendly = curt. It was good for me who doesn't speak English, as they didn't say anything. They only told me the Wi-Fi and room number that I needed. No windows, so it was humid?! It’s a place where the air conditioning is almost always on full blast all day, so it was very comfortable. Bathroom smells?! Seriously, not at all… The location of the accommodation is a 1-minute walk from the subway station. However, revealing clothes are prohibited due to the local culture, and there were about 200 men (locals) around, while there were about 5 women (tourists). But it’s not dangerous if you only stay at the accommodation. It was difficult to eat at nearby shops. Mustafa Center, a 24-hour mart, is a 5-minute walk away. If you're hungry, eat here... Really great value for money. I got a private room for the price of a regular dormitory. I truly find it very clean or I wouldn’t recommend it!!!! Safe for women traveling alone.

“No solo woman should stay here”
Worst possible stay for any woman coming alone! There is no help assistance, you are on your own and you won’t be able to sleep peacefully!

“Rude Receptionist”
Month of JUNE 2026. While I was completing my online booking, the older receptionist (**) who was at the counter asked me to wait bcoz she was still assisting someone who I believe had delivered hotel supplies or something. When they're finished & it was finally my turn, I placed my phone on the counter & showed her my screen to let her know that I had already completed & paid my online booking. She said, “EY! DON’T TOUCH THE PAPER. IT WILL GET DIRTY!” I believe the paper was the inventory sheet that the delivery person had given her. That's when I realized that my phone & hand had touched the paper. I was triggered by the way she spoke to me. I understand that she may have been tired or exhausted, but she could have approached me in a nicer and more polite manner, especially since I was a guest. So I told her, “U can say it nicely, or at least approach me in a polite way. I"M YOUR GUEST!!.” & she said; “SO WHAT IF U ARE A GUEST? IF U DON’T WANT TO BOOK HERE, THEN GO AWAY!” the situation became heated, I ended up shouting at her because I was extremely angry and exhausted. Seriously?! she asked me to go?? I had already booked and paid online. That was exactly why I was showing her my booking confirmation. Earlier, she had asked me to sit down and wait, so I did. I waited for around 20 minutes. When I noticed that she was no longer busy & it was just the two of us, I assumed she was processing something related to my booking. However, she was simply sitting in front of the computer and looking at the screen. It did not appear that she was actually doing anything. So I finally asked, “HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE? CAN’T YOU SEE WHAT I HAVE BOOKED?” She then replied, “I’m waiting for you.” (she's provoking me!) I TOLD HER, “You asked me to sit and wait, so I DID!! But if u needed more information regarding my booking, u should have called me & asked me. That is part of ur job. U were supposed to communicate with me.” She was then just silent, with a blank stare. VERY POOR customer service. Regardless of how tired or busy a staff member may be, guests should still be treated with basic courtesy and respect. SHE needs additional training & orientation on how to handle situations with guests professionally.
