PH Hotel Oosteinde Economy

Liked: The location and staff

Disliked: Small and hair in the room…

Liked: nothing

Disliked: everything

Liked: All good! Slept well

Cheap accommodation in Amsterdam is hard to come by, and the standard is generally low. This place follows that trend, its budget and will provide a good location. However don’t come looking for luxury- the walls are paper thin and the street outside quite loud. The room was poorly cleaned and the shower in need of repair. It was a roof above my head, and the staff were friendly enough- we didn’t complain, as our expectations were low having been in Amsterdam before.

Liked: The girl at the reception was so sweet and helpful. It was nice there was a coffee machine at the reception.

Disliked: The old guy knocked our door and told us to open because he smelled marijuana even though we were not smoking in the room and he demanded to enter and search our room. It was unacceptable and unprofessional. We were blamed for something we did not do and were disturbed in a way that did not look good on the staff nor the hotel.

Liked: Location and price.

Disliked: There was some water accumulation in the shower

For the price, the location and the room was actually so much better than expected. A double bed, room to open our cases, a toilet and shower seperate from the bedroom. Really nice staff and the location felt safe with a Lidl conveniently opposite

Liked: Comfortable beds and overall standart facilities

Disliked: The basement rooms smelled like cigarette and had ventilation issues, also a lot of small damages on the room overall made us a bit worried to leave a deposit, but had no problems
