Plantation Bay Resort and Spa

Liked: exceptional service from the moment we arrived at the reception to check in - friendly staff and always ready to help the room was superb, spacious, comfy bed and pillows, good view from balcony, food was great in all the restaurants, very attentive staff and friendly mangoes was excellent

Disliked: too bad, buffet breakfast was not available on all days of our stay, but room service was still good- more shuttle service sched to major mall / city drop off

Liked: The food at the restaurants were good and loved not having to tip.

Disliked: Supervisor at the front desk was very rude when we checked in. Rooms are dated, aircon wasn’t working well and the floors were so dirty that you need to wash your feet if you walk around without shoes on. The pools were also very dirty, the floor had patches of discolouration, lots of debris and one of the pools near the bar had a dead cockroach floating in it. I mentioned it to the staff who did manage to fish it out. Not worth it for the price you pay per night ($430) and would not return again. I do want to acknowledge the staff at their restaurants and their spa, all very accommodating and was the only thing I liked about our stay.

The whole experience was great! They had the best water activities and pools, very aesthetic pictures too. Our favorite part was biking around the resort. We just wished the balcony floor were cleaned more carefully. Very good experience tho!

Had a fun birthday getaway with the family! such a safe place for kids like mine! 😍

Liked: The view from our room, it was beautiful and relaxing. The Spa was superb,,brilliant service from the Spa,, and most staff are nice and friendly.

Disliked: Some of the staff are not welcoming or polite. The food so expensive for what it is, most of them are okay, considering a five star. Nothing much around especially at night, its kinda boring for us as no entertainment. The moment goes dark, everywhere just shut except one or two restaurant.. Another thing that i didnt like, they charged us for my sons breakfast, on the second day, as they cancelled the breakfast buffet due to renovation, they gave us breakfast credit but only for adults, and exclude my son, which we booked and paid for 2 adults and 1 child breakfast included, We have to debate to the manager and told him that we are not paying anymore as we already paid that moment it put us off as it was poor service considering a five star. The following day, asked the reception to checked our bills, still shocked as they still charged us for my son's breakfast, i cant believed, so i have to debate for the second time around explaining to the reception about my booking 2 adults and 1 child breakfast included.,and not to charged me again for my son's breakfast,thankfully the receptionist was amazing and helpful, she eventually undestood and not charge me for my child breakfast but what a thing for a five star. It shouldnt happen, it should be a relaxing and comfortable holiday, they should checked their bookings properly.. As a guests we pay a lot of money so we expect a high standards of service. But overall experienced, we still had a great time as the resort was lovely and we had a beautiful room and view even though some of the service was slow and poor.

Booked a room for four people with breakfast included and apparently the free breakfast is only for two people to avail but it's not stated in the booking. Please explain!?My grandaughter of 2 years of age came with us and supposedly children of that age stay for free but due to the fact that we would be 4 in a room I was asked to pay for her even though she would still sleep with her parents. Please explain!? Don't misunderstand this review, it's obvious that some policies regarding this resort are total BS however the resort itself is always an amazing experience to stay here even though it's classed as being expensive and what really saves the BS you endure at check in is the amazing staff who is always willing to resolve issues and help you with absolutely everything. Thank you staff, hope upper management learn from your commitment to help and hope issues with Agoda bookings like these don't occur again.

Stayed for 5 days with friends and we had a great time. Staff were very friendly and so helpful. There are buggies that go around the large resort grounds to take you around. Rooms were large and comfortable!
