Raffles Sentosa Singapore

Overall, we had a good stay at Raffles Sentosa and would definitely visit again. One of the things I really enjoyed was the evening turndown service. Having the room prepared for bedtime made the stay feel warm and homely — almost like being at home. There are a few areas that could be improved. The hair dryer could be better, and perhaps the mosquito control could be looked into as well. All three of us got bites despite using the insect repellent provided by the hotel. My daughter had a huge bump on her forehead, while my husband had one on his leg. We’re not sure if they were mosquito bites, as they looked more like sandfly bites. That said, these issues aside, we enjoyed our stay and the overall experience was lovely. We would still be happy to return.

Disliked: Unfortunately our stay at Raffles Sentosa Singapore fell well short of what I would expect from a hotel of this calibre. We were travelling with our pet, and even before the stay, it was surprisingly difficult to get clear and consistent information regarding the hotel’s pet policies and where pets were permitted. During our stay, our butler specifically advised us that a restaurant was pet-friendly, only for us to subsequently discover that this information was incorrect. For a hotel that prides itself on personalised service, this lack of accurate communication was disappointing. The service issues continued at check-out. We were told that a manager wanted to meet us to discuss our feedback, so we waited, only for the manager to be late. Given that the hotel itself had requested the meeting, this left a particularly poor final impression. Dining was another major disappointment. Our meal at Empire Grill was, unfortunately, some of the worst Italian food I have had in a long time. At this price point and within a Raffles property, I expected a significantly higher standard of both food and execution. The resort itself is beautiful, but luxury hospitality is ultimately about more than beautiful surroundings. At this level, guests should be able to expect accurate information, seamless service, attention to detail and excellent dining options.

Liked: That it was clean and not much mosquito

Disliked: That the pool area is not sheltered. When the rain fall, I am unable to use the pool due to the thunder and lightning.

Liked: Not a lot to be honest

Disliked: For a Raffles property expected so much more. It’s very shabby and some facilities like air conditioning doesn’t work properly. Our villa was also very damp and absolutely stank of mould. The layout is very awkward with the living separate to sleeping. Not comfortable at all.

Liked: Nice furniture, good style. High quality materials.

Disliked: Service really bad. Not attentive, very slow and confused breakfast service. Butler service felt unnatural and staged. Quality of food bad for the price. Inconvenient buffet layout.

We enjoyed our stay at Raffles Sentosa, the private pool in the villa is the biggest we've seen compared to the other Sentosa hotels, making it very comfortable to take a dip and just watch the world go by. Room amenities were great, we had a peaceful and relaxing stay. The resort had a very exclusive vibe and the best part is that it's pet-friendly!

Liked: Very astonishing place!
