Re Dionisio Luxury Suites

From the moment of our greeting our stay has been fabulous. Beautiful suite, unique location, mere footsteps to Oritigia!

Liked: Wonderful, duplex suite right on the water like literally! with just amazing views and a tranquil feeling You can even see the locals swimming at a swim spot and sometimes even behind this charming boutique hotel-small balcony on upper level bedroom.

Disliked: Liked everything about the property keep in mind it's a boutique hotel so common areas are much smaller, but there is an outdoor veranda where you can eat breakfast if not too hot and another lounge section overlooking the water for a drink.

Liked: Easy parking, nice location.

Disliked: Our room was down below the street so you could hear all the cars drive by. Wasn’t sure what it was at first. Luckily it tapered off at bedtime and we didn’t hear it.

Disliked: Property offer free parking, free parking means parking on street. Very busy street. It is very hard to find empty space. Please dirty. Mold in bathrooms!!!! Disgusting! No hot water in the shower. Very disappointed!

To start with, we booked the “penthouse” which is the most expensive suite they have, thinking it would be outstanding. The space is big, but not useful at all. We had a serious issue with mold smell in the bedroom (even though they had a humidifier in the room but it didnt help. Also we had continuous issues with the ac. It wouldnt turn on and off without going down to reception to activate it. One night we slept and woke up sweaty. The second night we froze to death as we couldnt turn off the ac in the middle of the night. Mainly all electricals in the room had issues (including the hair dryer and the coffee machine) Overall its way overated considering what we can get in a proper hotel for the money we paid

Disliked: I booked the Penthouse Suite specifically because it advertised a private hot tub overlooking the sea, along with steam/sauna amenities. This was a premium booking and a major reason I selected this property for a milestone birthday trip. Upon arrival, I was informed that the hot tub was not working, the elevator was out of service, and multiple amenities that influenced my booking decision were unavailable. None of this was proactively disclosed before arrival, despite the fact that this information would have materially affected whether I proceeded with the reservation. The most frustrating part was that by the time this was disclosed, cancelling would have resulted in a substantial financial penalty, leaving very little practical choice but to stay. To make matters worse, the resolution offered afterward was wholly inadequate and did not reflect the significant difference between what was advertised and what was actually provided. The view is beautiful, but a beautiful view alone does not justify paying premium pricing for amenities that are unavailable. If you are booking this property for the luxury experience shown in the listing photos, I would strongly recommend confirming in advance that everything advertised is actually operational.

Liked: The view from the room was spectacular. Literally right on the water with a small deck to enjoy a glass of wine. Staff was responsive to any and all needs. Room was spacious, bed super comfortable. About 20 min walk to center of Ortigia.

Disliked: A little noisy especially with windows open. Didn't realize there was a pool. Read the brochures in your room when you get there.

Liked: Good location. Close to Ortigia and very walkable to many different sites.

Disliked: Coffee offered in the room was either instant or moka. If you order toast at breakfast, it is toast crackers in a plastic wrapper. Order fresh bread.
