“Getaway”

Room and overall ambience was not close to a 5-star hotel but comfortable. Service staff were very nice. We have stayed in several 5 star hotels is Saigon and it’s not really up there. I guess it’s old and nostalgic so cannot compete with newer and more elegant hotels.

“It was great... BUT”

I did really enjoy my stay at the Rex.. the breakfast was amazing, pool was lovely, but my room had a lot of tiny ants... Then I woke up and I have BITES and red sore itchy lumps all over me.. I was bitten in place's NOT exposed to the air - Like my butt, torso, everywhere... The only thing I can put it down to is bed bugs. I stayed on level 4. Everything else was fantastic - I didn't expect this from here.

“Exceptional”

Can’t praise the staff from reception to house keeping enough. Hotel itself is clean, the rooms spacious and the expansive breakfast caters for all tastes. It is well located with the added convenience of its proximity to the metro. Highly recommended.

“An old wonderful hotel.”

It is located at the center of the tourist area and convenient for travel as it is at the entrance of the Opera House subway station. Although it's an old hotel, it has good hygiene standards and spacious rooms, and the beds are comfortable, allowing for a restful sleep. The room faced inward, so there was no city view, but being oriented to the south allowed plenty of sunlight to come in, which was nice. The lobby with luxury shops is also a comfortable place to take a break. It is particularly enjoyable to have music at the live bar with the free coupon. Breakfast includes various foods, but I especially liked the delicious kimchi. Since it is an older facility, I used a shower filter, and a bit of rust water came out. I recommend using the filter.

“Wonderful place”

We had a great time here. From tge check-in to housekeeping, bellmen, servers, cooks and restaurant manager, everyone was so friendly and professional. The room was comfortable and tge buffet offered great selections. Highly recommend this place. P.S: the last time I stayed here was 1990. Coming back after 36 years, this time was excellent. Thank you Saigon Rex for your exceptional services
