“Hotel Rukka made my stay relaxing and comfortable. I loved my stay.”
Liked: Hotel Rukka sits in a beautiful old finca in Tumbaco. It was calm and peaceful. Claudio and his team took very good care of me throughout my stay. I will definitely return.

Liked: Loved the environment of the grounds. It is peaceful, beautiful, calm and staff were great!
Disliked: The bed was very firm and the room lacked some luxuries like extra pillows, hair dryer, and good water pressure. The shower continued to drip after being turned off.

“Some important errors”
The grounds are lovely and on check in everyone was very friendly and helpful. Not to far from the airport but near a mall. The issues were that a lot of noise carries from room to room. We could clearly here home alone being played by the room next door. There was a very loud dog in the neighbours yard that would bark randomly throughout the night. Our biggest issue was when we asked for a taxi to be booked for 5:30am to the airport the next morning. I then confirmed this over the WhatsApp chat with the hotel in the evening. On the morning we spent 10minutes trying to find a guard or anyone who could at least open the gates as we were locked within the compound. I tried the WhatsApp number and no response. Eventually us trying to open the gate work the guard who came out but there was no taxi, I ended up quickly ordering an uber. I sent this to the hotel to say the taxi did not arrive and had no response. Clearly they are not interested in this. We have been travelling around ecuador a little while and this was the only issue we came across with a hotel.

“Perfect - will definitely stay again”
Liked: Rukka lodge is like a little oasis in the middle of town. It's extremely relaxing and feels very serene. Beautiful outdoor area with clean pool perfect for getting sun. The adjoining restaurant Garden House has delicious options. The staff is exceptional and very accomodating.
Disliked: There is no reception and gate is closed to the property so things can be tricky if arriving late at night - recommend getting in touch with hotel ahead of time so they are tracking and the guard will have key.

“Our favourite location in Ecuador!”
Liked: Absolutely gorgeous property with beautiful water installations, a wide variety of plant life and plenty of room to explore. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Consistent hot water in the showers (so rare!), considerate and professional staff, a wide variety of food options (albeit expensive).
