Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu

A well-kept property with a lovely location and beachfront. Excellent facilities, spacious rooms and exemplary staff that are willing to cater to your every need. Breakfast was a strong point, and the overall experience felt like good value for money. Th only drawback was the Aircon in our room which was very cold and couldn’t be adjusted. The hotel is very suited to kids and thought of every convince before having to ask.

For a well known 5 star resort, I expected it to be high class, but it's very disappointing. Coming into the room the first time, there is an odd smell - possibly from the old wooden furnitures. It throws me off and somehow makes me think the room is not clean. There is free water, but it's not bottled water. It tasted like tap water. We wanted to put it in the fridge to have it cold, but the fridge smells bad. Carpet is so old that they have stains on them, and it looks so dirty. The beach was the only good thing about the resort as they offerred free water shoes and life jackets. Be careful though as you will be swimming with fishes and other marine life, and there are a lot of rocks in the beach so it's definitely not like the white sand beaches in other resorts. As for the breakfast, I don't think they had enough main dishes, but there were a lot of side dishes that were really good. Their mangoes especially taste so sweet. Overall, for the price we paid, I do not think it was worth it. Maybe I expected too much knowing it was a 5 star resort. But, given that paid a lot of money, facilites should have been upgraded to match that price.

I had the most amazing experience! It was definitely worth it! Once you're there, you'll understand why. Also they have the best beach I went to nga duol sa city, IN LAPU LAPU!! I still can't imagine how they did that. Staffs are the best! Very welcoming and pleasant to talk to. Very approachable! I love it here!!

Since it is an older accommodation, the room condition is so-so, but the breakfast was good, the staff was friendly, and above all, the private beach was great. It was a nice place that I would want to use again~!

Spent my birthday at Shangri-La, and once again, it was such a wonderful and memorable experience. ❤️ There’s something about celebrating special occasions here that makes them feel even more special, which is why Shangri-La will always hold a special place in our hearts. First of all, I would like to commend the entire team for their warm hospitality. Everyone was so welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely pleasant throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Diane from the check-in team. We needed to add more rooms to our booking, and instead of making things complicated, she went the extra mile to offer us a better deal and resolve everything right away. From the moment we checked in, I already felt reassured and well taken care of. Thank you, Diane, for making the process so smooth and stress-free! We also appreciated being granted a late checkout as a gesture of goodwill after the pool was temporarily closed due to thunder. We completely understand that safety always comes first, and we appreciated how the situation was handled and how the team made an effort to make up for the inconvenience. What truly makes a stay memorable is not just the beautiful property or the facilities, but the people who make you feel welcome and valued. The staff at Shangri-La really made a difference in our experience. Thank you for making my birthday celebration extra special. We had a lovely stay, and we look forward to coming back for more special moments with our family. Shangri-La never disappoints when it comes to making celebrations feel special! ❤️✨
