Shangri-La Rasa Ria, Kota Kinabalu

We had a truly wonderful stay at Shangri-La Rasa Ria. From the helpful pre-arrival communication to the warm welcome at the resort, the team made us feel genuinely valued. The thoughtful surprise arranged for our celebration added such a personal touch and made the occasion even more meaningful. The room was comfortable and well maintained with balcony over looking the sea, while the peaceful surroundings and beautiful natural scenery made the resort a perfect place to relax and spend quality time together as a family. There are complimentary activities for young and old and also paid ones such as horse riding and others. We also enjoy the cultural shows. Thank you, Shangri-La Rasa Ria, for making our stay so memorable. Highly recommended for a resort getaway away from city.

Sangat berbaloi. Layanan staf yg baik. Sampai ada welcome drink kena bagi setiap sorang. Bilik jauh x kisah sbb ada buggy hantar. Bilik luas. Paling best pantai dia sangat cantik. Pasir putih halus. Makanan breakfast pun terlalu banyak pilihan smpai x smpat rasa semua kenyang sangat. Pool best. Banyak aktiviti lain tp x smpat try smua. Next time will repeat.

Very comfortable hotel with premium food and services. Everything works and young kids will really enjoy it. It’s in front of the beach and sea, but the sea is quite far so don’t go if your goal is to jump in the sea from your bedroom.

Food was just limited and pricier but still the best getaway

Liked: Rooms worked for our group (connecting) and were comfortable.

Disliked: Breakfast was limited for gluten free and very very busy each day. The same was true for the pool area, as they separate the ocean wing guests from the garden wing meaning that one pool is mobbed whilst the other is empty. Better to just make one geared for families with kids and the other available for those that don’t want that.

Good

Liked: Both the breakfast buffet and the dinner buffets were amazing - hot and fresh with much variety. We never do a dinner buffet, but we did it twice here! Raymond, the masseur on the beach was great!

Disliked: The rooms could use a refresh. We moved as the first room looked old and run down. No one is on the beach or in the water - rubbish, jellyfish and sandflies. The sandflies also bit by the pool. The breakfast area had so many birds everywhere, it was hard to find seating without bird poop on it....

Liked: Soak tub on every balcony. Spacious and comfortable room. Opulant his and her bathroom with rain shower. Complimentary mini bar stocked daily. 2x room services including turn down service. 2x wings; Garden wing for families, Ocean wing for couples. Amazing breakfasts with a chef on every station. Staff well trained and warm and friendly. Special mention to Clifford who made our breakfasts and our meal at Kozan restaurant extra special.

Disliked: Sand flies and jelly fish on the beach but who needs a beach when you have a luxury pool. Parents that insisted on staying in the Ocean wing and ruining the serenity at breakfast with fussing, chocolate covered children. The hotel should keep the Ocean wing child free under 12 years old.
