Silversmith Hotel Chicago Downtown

Liked: The location was incredible and the staff was very welcoming and polite. Always ready to help.

Disliked: I did not like the cleaning. For the fare I expected more quality in the cleaning. The carpet was not vacuumed in depth and the bed was not made properly. I think there is a good area of opportunity in this aspect.

Beautifully decorated historic hotel. Great location, wonderful staff and great value for sure!

Liked: Excellent location, spacious room, friendly and helpful staff

Liked: bed was comfortable, front desk staff was very friendly. complimentary bottles of water and voucher for a free cocktail/beer/soda at bar or restaurant;

Disliked: As British travellers - miss a kettle in the room

Liked: We recently spent 4 nights at the Silversmith Hotel - Chicago Downtown. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and very helpful. Our convenience and well-being truly seemed to be their top priority. It was our first trip to Chicago and they went out of their eay to make our stay as enjoyable and efficient as possible. George's advice on using the city's mass transit system was invaluable. The Hotel's location right in the heart of town makes so many major landmarks and attractions accessible by foot. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I had really struggled to find a room with two beds. This was the only hotel with rooms for two beds on offer for the weekend. We landed at 10:30, and we got a room with single bed and a sofa, which — if we had opened— would have left no pathway to walk to bathroom. Rooms with single beds were available in other hotels for half price!!!

I stayed at the silversmith hotel for a weekend trip in Chicago & it was a great stay. The location was close to everything downtown, a lot of food around, & walkable distance. I would surely go back.
