Sofitel Melbourne on Collins

Liked: Customer service exceeded my expectations. I attended the hotel for a birthday celebration, and the staff made my day by providing a chocolate cake, toiletries, chocolates and glitter on my bed with towel art. It was quite lovely and they made me feel very special. The room was spacious with an excellent view of the CBD. It was also very clean and extremely quiet which added to the relaxing ambience. This was one of the most outstanding customer service experiences from booking, through to check out. Highly recommend! Thank you all:-)

No pool or sauna - location is great

Liked: The location was ideal, the rooms were comfortable, and the overall experience was excellent. Great access to public transport and weather was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making it a very enjoyable experience. Bed super comfy!

Disliked: There was a nationwide Telco outage during our stay, which meant there was no internet available at check-in and resulted in a delay of approximately three hours. We understood this was outside the hotel’s control; however, it was noticeable that flight crew were still being checked in, which appeared to have been pre-arranged. The PM was at an event during my stay, so there was a significant security presence.

Liked: Bed was very comfortable. Slept very well.

Disliked: Nothing really.

Liked: Staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, ordered room service twice, very professional and nice.

Disliked: Cost. But it was an AFL weekend so understandably the prices were astronomical.

Definately has the feel of an upmarket hotel. Staff were all polite, helpful and friendly from concierge, front desk and housekeeping. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast to my room looked and tasted wonderful. Not for families but more of a stay for solo or couple travellers.

Liked: Amazing, comfortable beds and bedding - always a great night's sleep at the Sofitel. The room was well maintained and the hotel's atrium bar has excellent food and drinks with great service. Location is second to none at the top of Collins Street, everything is walking distance!

Disliked: The rooms could do with better soundproofing - the noise from the bar at night travels through the hotel as all rooms face the central atrium. You could also hear others in neighbouring rooms engage in their various extracurricular activities...

Had a wonderful 6-night stay at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins. The hotel is in a fantastic location at the Paris end of Collins Street, making it very convenient for exploring Melbourne. The room was comfortable, clean and well maintained, with an amazing city view. The bed was also extremely comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day of exploring. What really stood out was the service. The staff were friendly, professional and welcoming throughout our stay. Everything felt well taken care of, and the overall experience was exactly what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. Six nights passed very comfortably, and I was genuinely sad to leave. I would definitely stay at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Melbourne.
