“Amazing courtyard-style hotel in old fishing village”
Liked: As a family, we have stayed in several hotels and serviced apartments in Qatar, and this one is by far the best one. Incidentally, it was also the most affordable one (even after booking two separate rooms for our family). The hotel is located right at the edge of Wakrah old town and right next to the public beach and seaside promenade. There are small shops, cafes and restaurants nearby within walking distance. The accommodation is located in historic courtyard-style buildings. There is a central swimming pool, a spa and restaurants within the hotel compound. The service provided by hotel staff is equally impressive and very friendly. We will happily book this hotel again on our next trip to Qatar.
Disliked: The one and only potential disadvantage could be that the hotel is not located in Doha city directly, but in Al Wakrah village to the south. However, if you have your own car it is only a short drive to Doha downtown or to the airport.

“Excellent”
Liked: The service was excellent especially with the buggy cart services, they are fast and efficient Drivers; Peter and Enoch were very accommodating and friendly Breakfast was excellent, they have a wide spread and good selection for any nationality, pastries were fresh and of course the staff; Chef Rose, Nethra, Zeid and Mehwish were all very nice, they served well and makes you feel welcomed,we really enjoyed our time and the food.
Disliked: We took 2 standard rooms, they were both comfortable however, the 2nd room smelled bad, perhaps, the smell from the camel barn so we had to all stay in the 1st room most of the time. The swimming pool was too deep, not very accommodating especially to those who can't swim. The beach is also not a good place to swim, always lowtide and rocky. Hotel necessities were not readily available in the room such as toothbrush and shower gel...

“Pool and privacy experience”
Pool Experience & Privacy The hotel pool is very small, and the seating and swimming areas are extremely crowded, with people sitting very close to each other. Unfortunately, I also noticed several behaviours and types of clothing around the pool that I found inappropriate and uncomfortable, especially considering that the hotel is located in a Muslim country and is frequented by families. I believe the hotel should have clearer guidelines regarding appropriate dress and behaviour around the pool to ensure a comfortable and family-friendly environment for all guests. Regarding the private pool, the additional charge is quite expensive. For families who are already staying at the hotel and paying for accommodation, I believe private pool access should either be included in the room package or offered at a much more reasonable rate. This would provide families with a more private and comfortable option, especially when the main pool is very crowded.
