Liked: A Beautiful Honeymoon Made Even More Special by Amazing Staff! ❤️ We spent our honeymoon at Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives, and while the resort itself was beautiful, what truly made our experience unforgettable was the kindness, thoughtfulness, and hospitality of the amazing staff. We would especially like to thank a few wonderful people who went above and beyond to make our stay special. Mohammed – Sunset Restaurant Mohammed was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. He took the time to explain the drinks package to us and helped us find a more affordable option instead of paying separately every time we ordered drinks. We really appreciated his honesty and genuine willingness to help us enjoy our stay without unnecessary expenses. Mahmoud – Housekeeping, Dream Island Mahmoud was an absolute sweetheart! He was always smiling, kind, and happy to help. We were staying on Dream Island, one of the three islands at the resort. When he was asked to decorate our bed for our honeymoon, he did it with so much care, love, and a beautiful smile, making the surprise even more special for us. He also noticed that we always had Pringles in our room, so he went out of his way to bring some for my husband! 🥹 It was such a simple but thoughtful gesture, and it showed how genuinely caring and attentive he was toward his guests. Kawthar (كوثر) – Chef at Maghrib Grill We also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Kawthar from Morocco, who worked as a chef at Maghrib Grill. She was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and attentive. She helped us choose some of the best food at the restaurant, and even though it was a buffet, she kindly brought some dishes directly to our table. She made us feel so comfortable and cared for, and her warm hospitality made our dining experience even more enjoyable. “Excellent resort but additional costs are crazy”
Liked: Staff were amazing, island is very nice
Disliked: The cost of excursions (and pretty much everything) was outrageous. $300 per person for excursions, over $100 for ten minutes on a jetski and $5 for a snicker bar is exploiting guests in my opinion.

“Maldives stay with kids”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives! A special mention goes to our villa butler, Adam, who did an outstanding job. He took care of booking all our meals in advance and made sure we were well-informed about all the resort activities and events. We really enjoyed the food, including the in-villa dining, and loved having so many fantastic restaurants to hop between throughout our stay.

Liked: The location was fantastic My sons had a lovely time at the lagoon and also the thoughtfully organized kids session at Makhaana the kids play area. The buffet food options were good, and we were able to find something that each of us liked. The staff were courteous and helpful - be it the bus shuttle staff, the restaurant staff, the water sports or dive area, all were very kind and helpful!

“Exceptional”
Liked: We spent a week with my mom at this wonderful hotel! We were met by the hotel representatives and taken to the hotel on a beautiful new boat. Everything was on time and without delays. Beautiful, clean grounds, a spacious, fresh room. An excellent, clean lagoon with turquoise water. The room has everything you need - from umbrellas to an iron. Fresh water was replenished every day, and if it ever ran out, the staff were happy to refill it again. The house reef off the pier is something magical: every evening a manta ray swims in, and you can watch this sea wonder even if you don't swim or snorkel. While snorkeling, I encountered turtles, sharks, and various fish - and it was pure delight, because I didn't expect such a rich underwater world. I also took the shark excursion, and it was one of the most vivid experiences. The team of guides is professional and attentive - with them you feel completely safe, even underwater with wild fish. A separate and biggest thank-you goes to the restaurant. From the very first day and until the very end of our stay, we were looked after by a waiter named Mohammad - and he is the person who made our holiday truly special. He didn't just do his job; he put his heart into it. Every day he greeted us with a sincere smile, always found the best spot for us - sometimes with an ocean view, sometimes in the shade, sometimes closer to the cool of the evening - and he did it so unobtrusively and thoughtfully that we felt like welcome guests rather than just residents. Mohammad remembered our preferences: what we liked for breakfast, which juice we drank, which dishes we enjoyed most. He literally anticipated our wishes, sometimes bringing something to try before we even had a chance to ask. He was easy and pleasant to talk to - he always found time to ask how our day had gone, what new things we had seen, and to give useful advice on what was worth seeing or trying.
